  • good 3 points
  • first ever win for United at Glanford Park
  • clean sheet
  • good saves from Long
  • from both keepers
  • should've scored: Hammond - he really should
  • plenty of shots first half - there were
  • had to contend with big players from set plays
  • wind behind them second half we stood strong
  • great bit of football leading up to Woolford's shot - it was and it was that sort of stuff I saw at Derby last week, speed of passing
  • credit to Andy Crosby for the goal we thought there would be space at their back post - there was. this is great attention to detail: Billy hits the ball deliberately into the corner
  • grit and reslience
  • good to see players and fans applauding each other - not always happened this season - it hasn't
  • more credit to Long on all aspects of goalkeeping
  • wanted to play expansive football but we let in too many goals so tightened it up
  • Bash and Jay came off injured
  • Bob injured (foot) - not just concussion - should be available next week
  • Flo C travelled with the team - playing [or was it played?] for the u21s Monday - sounds like he's part of the plans
  • lads had a right go for each other
In some ways this reads like a string of cliches - but he speaks with real pace and energy throughout the interview - he crammed all that into 5 minutes and that's with having to wait for Giddings(?) to get to the end of his questions - it's like waiting for Jam to cross the ball :).

Cheers WHF, liking you posting after match interviews as my browser really hates finding them on the BBC radio sites!

The one bit you missed was that whispering Bob has been out with a foot injury, but to me it sounded like he's play if he was fit (I want him to play, i think he's great and I'd like his patchy stubbled scottish babies)

good 3 points, he can stop there.

Corner, turned, hopefully. If we have to kick our way out of this league, well, inter arma enim silent leges as the Romans might say.

How come he has to cram everything into 5 minutes and that waffling Cunt from the dark side keeps chatting repeated shit for 20 every time he's on ?

Cos he's a bullshitter. He has had that many jobs he has a stock answer for every eventuality.Wait while the pigfans turn on him after a few more defeats.

Cheers for the bulletpoints pal, hope you keep it up because I've lost patience actually listening to what Nigel says. It's easier to read and it doesn't bug me as much.

Saw Nige a bit earlier, taking a mid-day constitutional down Eccy Road. Looking very chipper too. (No notebook in hand though - a bit disappointed not seeing him jot down his ideas as he strolled along, if I'm honest. Although, tbf, if he'd been doing that, he probably would have strayed off into the traffic & got wiped out by a 4x4.)

Everyone's always having a dig at Swiss.

I also appreciate these posts WHF, not because I don’t like to listen but because I can’t at work so these summaries are handy. Cheers.

Nigel Adkins is obviously destined for bigger and better things. A top job in PR beckons.
