Can just see it now, Che Adams flogged to some middle of the road Championship club for £1m. Same old tired excuses coming from Kevin McCunt and all the other arseholes who own the club "you can't keep an unhappy player against his will", "the offer was too good to refuse", "we moved heaven and earth to keep him", and then the money relieve isn't reinvested back in the first team, we don't really bring anyone in during the JTW to replace Adams or to address the long standing CH problem as "there is nobody out there better than we have already got", "we just couldn't get it over the line". And then we timidly go through the motions with our annual play off humiliation and the board blame anyone and everyone apart from themselves.

Nothing like stating the obvious Brownie;)

I can't wait until we have sold ALL our best players and we've nothing left but the reserves. Maybe THEN we'll be done with bullshit threads like this.

Best OP ever. Unique. 10/10.

Any more superlatives anyone?

Wake up.

As long as we are a L1 club, our better players will be coveted by clubs from higher divisions with deeper pockets.

Assuming the player wants to go, that is pretty much the end of it.

Not saying it's right, just how the real world works !!!

You couldn't make it up...........

Not started by one of the recent BM influx though. I believe, like Harry Kane, he's one of your own.

So the general assumed collective wisdom is that we should be satisfied with this current state of affairs?

It's current? I thought it was a prediction for January.

I must get a little hand for this watch.

A pig fan tried to stir the shit by saying Che was going to Bournemouth.

Accepting that it happens and liking it happening are two entirely unrelated matters. With the exceptions of the two Spanish giants everyone else is a selling club. When a bigger club with more money comes calling then it's only a matter of time.

It happens every transfer window to many clubs. Do you think that Ilkeston were ecstatic that we bought Che Adams from them?

Do we have to like that we sell our best players? No. Will it still happen? Yes. Until we're able to offer them European competition and money beyond the dreams of avarice it will continue. It doesn't soften the blow when money that comes it seems to be either hidden or wasted, but having a hissy fit when it does happen seems to be a rather futile exercise.

We as a club are certainly guilty of flogging off the family silver and buying some Tupperware to replace it, but being accepting of it and being happy with it aren't related.

The current state of affairs is that Che Adams is a Sheffield United player. Are you suggesting that you're unsatisfied with this? I'm pretty happy with this current state of affairs to be honest.
