Yorke and Cole did this a few times - here it works against Barcelona.

It's one of the things Billy and Ché keep trying it - one day it'll work. They do sometimes combine very well. Hope it's a partnership that flourishes - and the ball ends up in the back of the net more often...

Sharp and Adams are one of the very few positives to take away from this season.

Sharp has been fantastic and I'm happy for him that he's been a success this season.

Adams has had an up and down season, got dropped, his dad passed away, dropped again. A lot to go through for a 19 year old and he's still managed to bag 9 league goals. Should finish in double figures, not bad for his first full season in pro football. I also think some of the things such as his attitude have been blown out of proportion by some fans. I think it's born out of the overall frustration with our squad.

So 26 league goals between them so far, will probably be 30 by the end of the season. That's a great return considering the piss poor season we've had. I'd take that in a heartbeat next year. If only two or three of our midfielders could pitch in with 8 goals each!

Would be delighted if we retained that partnership up front for next season*. Some tantalising signs there. Thought Che was top drawer today, myself.

Can see Che having a proper breakthrough season next time round. And Billy's Billy - he'll guarantee 20+ goals.

Just think: a proper Blades striking partnership. Something we've been waiting for for eons, it seems.

(*Expecting us to have to cash in though.)

Jesus of Nazareth. Comparing Sharp and Adams to Yorke and fucking Cole. Even by his standards, that is some happy clapping.

I was thinking this myself today.

I think it certainly was very encouraging that the first instinct when either got the ball seemed to be to try and find the other. Yeah it didn't come off a lot of the time but it looked to me like it could be the start of a beautiful friendship.

Andy Cole. A concrete bollard on the penalty spot would have surely scored as many as him, by having the ball bounce off it at random and occasionally going in the net.

But full marks to him for being one of the thickest footballers I have ever heard speak, and he has a lot of competion there

fucking LOL.

without dissing sharp & Adams....

comparing those two decent players to the Andy Cole & Yorke partnership at Man U.

The only time those 2 will line up against barcelona will be on some crazy blades fifa 16 save.

They first tried it tried very early in the season.

Their pass and move yesterday fits with what Adkins said after the game about getting then to play closer together meaning there are more chances to work with each other.
