Adams' 'Dive'

From the halfway line it looked to me as though Che's fall was an afterthought, and if he had gone down immediately on feeling the touch it would have looked more like a penalty. Having said that I don't know why he would have gone down in that position if he hadn't been clipped.
That's what he has said on Twitter to a fan who has had a go at him for diving.

You'd suspect that refs in the league have probably been briefed on serial divers, and rightly or wrongly Adams might have fallen into that category. It was the same with JAF.

The referees in this league haven't got the competence or the intelligence to read a brief let alone take the meaning on board. In the 5 years we've consigned ourselves to this agricultural division we've had two decent referees ..... and they were both in the Cup !!

Agree, from my vantage point 10 yards inside the half United were attacking, looked like he was trying to buy one to me, went down slowly and in stages. However my two colleagues next to me swore blind he'd been clipped and it was nailed on pen.
He's a huge disappointment at the moment, doesn't display any intelligence in his play and trying to use brute force far too often.

There was one occasion in the first half when we were defending a free-kick. Collins was urging the backs to keep the line straight and edge forward to draw an offside and who goes wandering behind the line?

Yes, Che.

All the pundits on motd always say if there is contact the player should go down as it's a foul even if it is only minimum. No wonder players like Che do it
