If we could get him signed I would take him. Yes he is similar to Billy but both of them guarantee goals at this level and at 29 is worth a punt. Would mean someone going but to have 2 goal scorers like them would be a bonus. Either McNulty or Done won't score as many goals so would be whoever we could move on first.

ALF has been training with the Cardiff Development Squad but was on the bench for their games at the weekend as they have no strikers, but he's unlikely to stay with them.

They paid £3 million for him and I doubt we could afford even 1/4 of his wages.

Not at all.
Alf is proven, sparky isn't.
Scougs compliments an attacking midfield just behind the strikers.
Played in the correct formation he's an asset.
Alf will bring quality, and goals. No brainer.

I do like Alf to be honest but maybe his best days are past him and if we are sticking with Billy we need something different, maybe pace. I think McNulty is proven in the lower leagues including league 1 - was our top scorer when he played and did the same at Pompey - I would like to see Lavery come in who should compliment most of our existing striker due to his pace - apologies for the accusation pal!!
