I’ve always kept up to date with u21’s games and watched as many as I can but I was wondering if anyone who knows abit more than me can tell me who’s impressing at u18’s or below? Is there anyone to look out for 👀

seems a bit suspicious doesn’t it you would think anyone keeping up with the U21s would also keep an eye on the U18s
Not really? I don't.
I know a few names but I don't keep track anywhere near as much with the 18s as I do the 21s.

To be honest i reguraly check on their scores but don't really go into depth on the team, its just when i notice a new player pop up in the U21's i look to see where they've come from and its usually from the U18 as in yesterday there was 3 U18's played some roll in the U21's demolition (again) of Huddersfield.

For the development team Beattie has stepped up brilliantly this year. Faxon is still solid and dependable in goal with good distribution. Hampson has really stepped up too given that he was competing with Marsh and One last season. Speaking of Marsh, he's wasted in the team and badly needs a loan to play regularly as he's not getting onto the bench at the moment. We know he's too good for development football so he's gaining nothing by playing there other than match fitness.

Jack Waldron is one to watch as he's stepped up from the under 18s. He's a tenacious full back with a great cross. t
Think Derek Geary who can cross a ball better. Sasnauskas is also a great prospect at centre back, solid and dependable and a tall lad for his age.

Outside the development team Sidibe is the stand out player for the under 18s.

Yeah Sidibe seems to be the one who gets mentioned the most from the under 18s.

Pretty sure there was a little article about him recently in that he came to Sheffield with his family, as a young boy and made it into the academy via the FURD route, playing down at Lowfields.

Yeah I’ve seen Sidibe mentioned quite abit. I’ll keep an eye out.

Yeah marsh needs a loan in Jan. I saw we signed a striker off Oldham called Atherton but I guess Beattie has stepped Infront of the pecking order with his u18 record.

Louis Marsh scored a hat trick yesterday, surely must get a chance soon, if only off the bench

It was FURD who first brought Kyle Walker to the club too.

He'll struggle in the Championship because of his build. He needs a move to League One to play meaningful league football and learn the physical demands of the senior game. One is above him in the pecking order due to his strength, pace and height even though Marsh has a better all game game and equally as prolific with scoring. I've no doubt that Marsh would have gone out on loan if we'd signed another striker, and I'm sure he will come January.

Good point, wonder why he's not been loaned out by now though

Isn't there a lot of buzz about Zain Tahir too?
