Shiny and I used to work for the same employer - he's more a rugger man these days. Heretic!

I'm sure the others will turn up eventually. Word gets around.
 
I think I must be in a minority of one which would like Curtis to make a two week apperance before getting sent to Coventry.

It is almost a year to the day when he bashed away on his keyboard just after the team V QPR was announced and declared to the world"I first thought this was some kind of sick joke"

Then of course, there was his 'Statement'.
 
Santos (Koz) is was me (yorkie) that told him the team news in the #sufc chst room...

he threw an absolute double six and got very close to a ban right then

I do miss his naivity

If the blame for BU's demise could be pinned on one person (apart from Webperson)....there can be no other candidate than len.

He singlehandedly ruined that site.

Apart form saying hello, this is my first posting on here and old regulars won't believe this, but I disagree! (Where is biltonblade, he'd have a seizure if he reads this?).

I thought len was a talented wind-up merchant and I should know, I couldn't help myself, but generally, he took stick very well and was a good contributor.

So, bang goes my invite to the Gentlemans'Club I suppose.

You're right about Webperson, although it was a bit of a thankless task with all those axes being constantly ground in his direction.
 
I agree that it was probably a thankless task that he had. But what wound me and others up was his often ignorant and arrogant approach when dealing with contributors to the site. It gave off an impression that he thought he was far more important than he actually was.

oh, and he was crap at football too!!
 

It was len's endless repartition that bored Bert to death, so very predictable and totally humourless. It was all done solely for his own amusement.

Sadly he will wash up here in due course and continue his wrecking campaign.

PS can you text Bert the scores of the away match at Derby in September as he will be in foreign parts. Gracias.
 
As a 'lurker' on BU it is pleasing to see Bert arrive on this site. Surely an indication of a better class of poster ? ;)

You obviously didn't read the posts properly Bert or probably much at all.
Humour was never in short supply.
 
Bert has an "O" level in English, gained when exam certificates could not be found in cornflakes boxes, so he does have the ability to read properly. But you are right about him not reading your stuff much at all.

PS How's things going on Bladesmad?
 
Has anyone seen Soho Blade knocking around?

also N6 seems to be MIA, unless he's taken on a new alias and I missed it.

I agree that Len was a first-class wind-up merchant. I just don't quite see why a site would want a first-class wind-up merchant. I come on a forum for interesting discussion, and to hear people's genuine views. Not to see a thousand posts by someone who's only opinion is to be 100% negative about everything, just because it winds up others. How is that enjoyable?

If you didn't read the posts Bert, you can't really have a particularly valid viewpoint on them.
The reason some got wound up was they knew deep down who was right.
Would it be a wind-up to suggest we've paid peanuts to acquire a set of monkeys in France et al?
Or just uncomfortably close to the truth.

I don't recall Len ever focing a gun to anyone's head forcing them to reply to him - and what about all the "WHERE ARE YOU LEN" threads. A fair few people on there were bizarrely obsessed with him, and after 5 years of it, it says rather more about them than it does him.
 
To be honest i used to like reading what Len had to say and agreed with him on 80% of what he said.

The one person who is responsible for that sites demise is the obnoxious little turd that ran it.

He didn't have the decency to give anyone a period of grace on it, and pulled it at a moments notice, because he can.
 
I best own up at this point to being A Gallon of Magnet on BU. If I ever pissed you off, sorry. I'll probably do it again :)

I wouldn't mind locking horns with him again, especially without webbo around to ban me! The 'Beattie Alloys' thread was just about the funniest thing i've ever read on a forum. Oh and the 'stinking rich if you earn over £50k' one wasn't bad either.

Who else is missing? Ferret was mentioned earlier, he was always good for sticking up for free market principles which flied in the face of common sense. PeteBlade1 also appears to be MIA at the moment as well


Hope to god trueblade & edinblade don't wash up. One track minds and utterly dull with it.:thumbdown:
