I thought people would have learned about the Eredivisie by now, Michael Higdon scored at a rate of nearly one in two over there for goodness' sake, before utterly failing in League One.

Bar the top couple of teams it is a very poor league.

I'm not too worried about Verrips to be honest, he's looked capable and had a fantastic loan spell last year by all accounts....what worries me more is Foderingham on the bench as he is utter dogshite.

Eastwood has got to 24 and made 1 senior appearance so doesn't look as though he will make the grade and I thought Dewhurst had gone back out on loan again but it doesn't appear so but he's obviously no-way near ready either.

Regardless, we can't risk the season on a first choice of Verrips and back up of Foderingham so will either have to bring in a new first choice or better back up to Verrips...

We paid Bournemouth £13.6m after our 25% sell on came off. That works out at £17m total.

We'll owe Bournemouth 10% of the £7m profit (£24m-£17m) on the headline price. That leaves us with £9.7m profit (£24m-£13.6m paid less the sell on). Not bad for a season.

That will be needed to go against the full write off on Mousset, Osborn, Freeman, all of whom will leave for zilch, having arrived for a combined 18m-ish?

There there will be whatever drop in value McBurnie and Brewster weighted in at as well as Burke and Lowe.

Maybe Bogle had an uptick but everyone else

Yes verrips was awful on his debut , but if we’re blaming him Egan/Basham/baldock/Robinson deserve equal for not defending the goalkeeper

Good luck to him, really hope he goes and smashes it - seems a reyt nice kid and has the potential to rival any keeper in the Prem in my opinion. Absolutely no grudges from me and I really can’t blame the lad for pushing through a move to Arsenal, even in the transitional period they’re going through they’re still a club that’s multiple times bigger than SUFC will ever be.

Hopeful this will be a move that benefits both parties in the long run
