My perception of the situation:
We have already sold Ramsdale for £28m pending personal terms
(the surprising part the Blades Way mentioned is the fee being so high, although could there also be a P/ex player involved???).
The evidence for this is SJ's latest comments, plus Davies transfer completed yesterday, and Vieira is now inbound (IMO also complete pending media etc). I reckon the rumours were true regarding us needing to free up funds before signing anyone (and this was achieved by selling Ramsdale).
We will also push on with Diallo and Olsen next week and look to get those done ASAP, as well as 1-2 other wide forwards/creative midfielders, hopefully permanent or loan to buy
Would be an unbelievable signing. £25m plus Nelson on loan (we cover wages)P/ex involved, interesting that they are desperate for Reiss Nelson to sign new terms before he is sent out on loan. We need pace and width that’s more reliable than mousset.
Let's just hope the arm twisting is confined to an outfield player from Arsenal, seems they are more than happy to see Runarsson their keeper move on.Would be an unbelievable signing. £25m plus Nelson on loan (we cover wages)
Similar situation with Garner at Man U I believe...P/ex involved, interesting that they are desperate for Reiss Nelson to sign new terms before he is sent out on loan. We need pace and width that’s more reliable than mousset.
Diallo/Nelson would be a beastly wide pairing, hope this comes true!P/ex involved, interesting that they are desperate for Reiss Nelson to sign new terms before he is sent out on loan. We need pace and width that’s more reliable than mousset.

It's a bit of a double edged sword, I think the big difference re Rammers and Henderson is confidence, with Henderson its overflowing, bordering on arrogance, Rammers looks and behaves like a good lad ( similar to most in the squad, no side to them etc ) that's happy to be playing, good in one respect bad in another, and if he did have Hendersons belief chances are he would have pushed for a move
Arse journalists desperate to paint any transfer as low as £20 mill with add ons despite noises to the contrary that a fee of £28mill is now being considered. This will drag on to the end of the window if they think we'll agree to a deal that low.
Key for SUFC now is getting a replacement ready before any deal is agreed otherwise he stays with us. Unless a deal worth closer to £30 mill surfaces in the next 24 hours I expect Ramsdale to be between the sticks tomorrow. As others have said the very fact they keep coming back puts us in a good negotiating position and we should screw them for all we can get if Ben White is valued at £50 mill.
Looks like Arsenal are in a really tough place, re the players they want, the fees involved and even if they sign them, they still have a shaky defence and a strike force that won't play every PL game this yearI wish Arsenal would stop pissing about. They’ve spent months on this. You know the price. Pay it or piss off
Their in full swing now apparently it is the brilliant brinkmanship of Arsenal negotiating team that has now forced little ole SUFC back to the negotiating table desperate for the money. Expect next headline to be "Blades adopt Maguire negotiation tactics and go cap in hand to the mighty Arse asking forgiveness and offering to knock £5 mill off the price"![]()
That was the reported price arsenal didn’t meet last week but suddenly we’ve dropped out price and they’re now paying it journalism is a wonderful thingAthletic suggests £24m plus add ons
No one argued he didn’t, the issue was you saying he was actively putting out stories to force our hand. You were saying he was “gutted” and unhappy the move has been pulled when he was in fact happy to stay if they didn’t meet our valuation. The press leaked stories seem to be (as many of us mentioned last week), was what Arsenal would do to try and drive down the deal and under settle him. It hasn’t worked and now they’ve seemingly returned to the table with an increased offer, again as several of us suggested last week.Oh, what do you know? Ramsdale wants to go...
A raft without a rudder, with a hole in the sail and broken mastWill be sad to see rammers go ,think he would have become one of our all time best keepers ,but if it releases finances to shape our new style of play then ,thats life ,utb
He will be going to a ship without a rudder though
