That did cross my mind, when do we ever hear about bids being accepted for players? Maybe it's just that we are bigger news these days, but usually we don't hear anything other than runours until the player has signed.

Bump up the transfer fee so Bournemouth get a bigger fee and we get a bigger sell on plus a stronger negotiating position for another keeper.

What has the Brooks deal got to do with anything? The total fee could be up to £18.5m, being owed money (or owing in the case of Moose) makes no difference.

It's like if you buy a £10k car off your mate who also owes you £9k, you're giving him £1k in cash but you're still buying a £10k car. It's doesn't drop in value to £1k cause that's the amount of cash you've handed over.
