If this is true can only see Brayford heading for the exit door, which would be good as we cannot afford a great proportion of our wage budget to be spent on a right back

HITC is about as reliable as a cure for Polio.

We are literally going to spend the summer being linked to everyone and his dog due to all the shit websites and twitter accounts that any nobhead can setup and then everyone gets sand in their vaginas about who we should / shouldnt be signing and who they are going to replace in our squad.

Im sure close season used to be fun.

Peter O'Rourke is now tweeting that we are lining up a bid and he is usually spot on.

Take your point though, we'll be linked to tons of players this summer after the clear out we have had.

Doesn't suprise me we are looking at a right back, we can't rely on Brayford all season with his injury record and of the two back ups we had, one has been released and the other transfer listed

I know nothing of this lad so can't really comment on whether it would be a good signing or not. I guess this signing however would be to give Brayford some fierce competition for the RB slot.

Is Graham Kelly a right full back or the opposite side? I thought he was going to be the cover at RB?

Maybe he's one Wilder was looking to sign for Northampton.

If we're in for him then either Brayford's on his way out or he'll simply provide competition for him.

I'll tell you what's worse than being lazily linked with players by shit websites, the tedious moaning about it like posts above in the threads themselves.

Even more tedious is your entire existence on this forum.
Two clear options for you then;

- Use the ignore function
- Don't use the forum

What's stupid is to not do either of those and then continue coming out with posts as above.

There is a 3rd option also, carry on as I am. If I put you on ignore then I wouldnt be able to laugh at your when you continuously show yourself up on the forum. I merely made a point that we are literally going to be linked with all and sundry by unreliable websites and kids on twitter and off you pop thinking you are barney big bollocks.

You are literally as productive to this forum as Dean Hammond is to the first team.

And I was making the point that just as annoying are the posts that continually point it out, saying how we're going to be repeatedly linked with players from unreliable sources all pre-season, like nobody knew already.

Out of contract, but I wonder why Coventry don't see fit to offer him a new deal?

A player who is arguably worth a new deal but isn’t getting one is right-back Aaron Phillips whose excellent form in the last two months has served to remind us of his potential. He’s fit, quick and athletic and has a heart of lion who gives his all every time he pulls on a City shirt.

Taken from the Coventry City Telegraph. Their fans voted in a 70% favour that he should be retained, so sounds promising should he sign. I know this has been asked but how long is Brayford expected to be injured?

I wouldn't say no to a Jim O'Brien either. Bags of energy and commitment, he would be a low cost signing who would provide much needed energy and bite to our limp dick midfield!

Wasnt there a few stories circulating pre season that it was shit or bust season for Cov and if they didnt win promotion they would lose a lot of players as they could not afford to renew their contracts? Maybe thats why they seem to be losing a few players...

Not sure mate. He seems the sort we should be going for though , even if he has been released.

They seem to be losing quite a few but they are still getting linked with Flynn and Clarke. Weird one

"Heart of a lion"

Fantastic!

According to Cov fans makes a better midfielder than full back, but plenty of potential. Hasn't grown much as a player for a while so needs a move.

Worth a gamble on small wages.

This would be a decent signing he can play RB RM LB LM, play him at RB whilst Brayfords recovering, and when he's fit, put Phillips at RM

I'm always weary of utility men. The fact they haven't got a position nailed down usually means they are bang average in all of them.

Enter Chris Basham. Jack of all trades springs to mind

Signed for Northampton. Maybe an indicator that at this moment in time he wouldn't have been ready for a promotion chasing team?

We would be better and more productive signing Arlene Phillips , than Aaron .

Len Goodman would agree .:D
