Top retro idea - an actual book with interesting & amusing things in it!
The success of those Ladybird Books on daft stuff is phenomenal. Not suggesting the Blades are in the 'daft stuff' category but there's definitely a demand for paper these days. And old-skool style with current content... mmmmm, nice.
In the bottom corner of the pages could you put little pictures that move when you flick the pages? You know, like Duffy's Bouncekiller or the Brooks's Nutmeg?
I'd buy more than 1.

I’d like to see an Origami page which showed you how to make the four Bramall Lane stands out of single sheets of paper, like what the old Rupert the Bear annuals used to do with paper pagodas. Oh, and some illustrated cartoon stories, with simple rhyming captions underneath, like they had in there. Rupert the Bear books rocked!

I'd buy a collection of your pre and post match stuff. That's the good shit that is.

Something like a comic strip based on players lives (fictional obviously, some aspect of their character or an in-joke) for example, 'At home with Jamal Blackman' where he's having a gathering and invites his teammates round for tea, goes to get a casserole dish from the top of his cupboard but lands on top of Carter-Vickers and Simon Moore has to finish the stew.

Shit like that. That's what I find amusing.

You know what, I think that would really work.

Tits

Seriously (unusual for me) good idea if there's enough demand. A collaboration with S2 4SU section. I could write about Pork Pies. :)

Actually, I think your food stuff would fit in well with something like that.

FB is still going strong.

Aye, that Zuckerberg isn't too bad is he?

I'd like to see graphs, graphs and more graphs...

I like graphs, well infographics. But if I'm honest, I'm not sure I want to go into graphs about n.o passes or shots on target. But I do like the idea, say, "The number of laps around Bramall Lane run by each player over the course of the season" or summat along those line.

An origami Ruper the Bear in a United shirt?

Great idea. I have been toying with something similiar or setting up a website with all my old reports archived and some new stuff but just never have time with work and family. Maybe in the summer holidays I may get round to it. Love the blogs Steve. Still has me tittering.

Cheers. Still looking for contributors like :)

The top PL clubs would probably object if you brought out eg an "Arsenal Annual" or a "Man U Annual" - could be wrong but aren't the clubs' badges a registered trademark? I'm glad that SUFC seem to be more reasonable in this regard. I was wondering about this the other day, there are at least two bars on London Rd with big Blades crests, including the Turkish club's "Sports Bar". If we had less sympathetic owners they might object.

SWFC ordered a place In Hillsborough to remove the Owl from their sign fairly recently

Interesting, I hope SUFC don't follow suit. I like the idea of partisan pubs. No one's going to think that a Blades crest means that a bar is officially associated with the club, it just means "this is a Blades pub"

Was just about to say, could you not do it quarterly? You seem to have enough content to do so. And I'm sure the Internet would bring a few willing contributors. I'd be willing to get involved in some form.

I used to run gallonofmagnet.co.uk a few years back, if you remember that. And currently behind shorehamst.com.

And you're right, reading a fanzine is far superior to sitting in front of a screen to read a blog.
I would happily be one of those contributors too. Far more to discuss than what happened during the 90 minutes of each game. :)

I'm fairly proficient at InDesign (desktop publishing) software and wouldn't mind having a crack at the layout/design side of things.

**BUMP**

The 'Dem Blades Fanzine' is being put together now. Thanks for your steer in the thread earlier int year.

To all those people who commented on here or messaged to say that they would be interested in proofreading and/or editing (and that type of thing), do get in touch. PM me here or Twitter or whatever suits.

Hope some of you buy it and at least half of you enjoy it - some familiar faces (avatars) have contributed and their efforts are, in a matter of speaking, chuffing brilliant.
