Just a light-hearted reminder of this time last year Mr "Saturday ,Tuesday" started, and was not surprisingly more complimentary than he was when he finished! Wish him all the best next season wherever that club will be, but I'm still over the moon at appointing Wilder.

Here's a reminder of Adkins joining! Seems funny now!

The Bladecoaster is actually installed at Alton Towers, only they call it 'Oblivion'.

Why don't you try our new Ride "Endeavour" with it's new "unseen" features? After that have a go on our Hammond Dodgem Cars, you'll love how they just wander around aimlessly and slowly. After that you're sure to be hungry, why not our Adkins Diet Approved Waffles, or for the bigger appetite take a huge bite out of our 6 year matured Shit Sandwich.

Just in case anyone wondered what Nige had been getting up to since leaving...

Whats really funny is most people thought he was some sort of god arriving, the bees knees, the posts on here on relection just show how little we all know about football and some degree our own club, and just like last year we are all saying how well the new manager is doing without seeing a ball being kicked yet. I like all the rest want to be positive, try to be positive, but the proof is in the pudding, after so long in this division you would of thought we would of learnt our lesson.

I wouldn't go as far as a God, but in many ways you are right. He had a decent track record, I felt finally like we had a round peg in a round hole. Then again I saw many positives when we appointed Weir. Basically I know fuck all about anything much.

I think you're right in that many are going overboard.

Retained list was a good start, but the signings so far? I'm less than enthused.

I, to my detriment, would have given him more time. I still think he was dealt a shit hand with the crap he inherited.

But he shot himself in the foot over Dean Hammond. I cannot believe he gifted the option of a permanent transfer to the player. He'd be a big earner and part of the plans for next season whilst also being utter bobbar as a player. As it stands now, Hammond is still 2 of those things :(

We'll never know, of course, but I'd be intrigued to know who he wanted and how he wanted to play next year. Also love to hear what he thinks about getting binned, because even though he wasn't what United needed, I still think McCabe's treatment of managers and his attitude towards running the club is highly questionable.

No time for sympathy, though. I'm a member of The Tufty Club and happily so. Making the right noises so far and it does feel like the United of old is coming back a bit.

UTB.

history will judge this fucking idiot one of our worse ever managers.

Glad the fucking imbecile has left and deserves nothing more than to be a footnote in future.

Unless the thread is titled 'Worse ever cunts at our club'
I think you're going too easy on him.

I'm taking the view that they are smaller parts of a larger puzzle. Clearly that statement is going to bite me in the arse if it all goes Pete Tong but what the hell, I'm feeling adventurous ;)

I'm not so sure on Hussey, he's not the youngest but my hunch is that he'll fill in adequately at left back and be an improvement on what we had there. Duffy on the other hand is a signing I haven't agreed with ever since his first mention. OK he did well last season but he's 30 and we've just offered him a 2 year contract with the option of a 3rd. I fear he's going to be another Ben Davies, and if he isn't up to scratch it's another slot in the squad we'll have to wait 2 years to get back.

Toledo, that's the 'enjoyment' of being a supporter of a team like ours!
If we wanted to analyse everything to the nth degree using facts and real-life data we might as well be accountants and not Blades.(apologies to accountants)
