A sad day for football

You would hope they get battered next season though.

MK franchise are in the second tier of English football.

A true victory for evil

This, this and this again. ^^^^

There's a lot wrong with football, but MK are in the vanguard of wrongdoers. They're the most shameless exponent of the commoditisation of the people's game. The cuckoo in football's nest.

For PNE - one of the most historic of all the League clubs - to lose out to them is dreadful. The only consolation for us is that if we lose in the play-offs, we'll do so to a real football club.

Amongst the hand wringing for MKDs promtion; I do wonder if any of us will think it would also be a sad day for football, if a club 18 or 20 points behind another get promoted?

Unless that scenario involves us buying PNE and relocating them to a concrete bowl in Attercliffe, then my money's on a 'no'.

What the fuck has that got to do with the point of the thread?

I thought it was fairy self explanatory, mate.

A straightforward compare and contrast question.

This may help you :)

Fairy??

Does it also do dishes that make hands as soft as your face?

If you want a debate about whether or not it should be top three go up start a thread about it, I might agree with you.

The op is making another totally unrelated point, one all football fans should agree with

MK Dons deserve to go up . Why - they finished second.

Politics in football will always be there , as we know and have learnt the hard way with the Tevez affair.

Perhaps Winkleman has more pull than McCabe on all things football.

Plastic club yes , but unfortunately deserve promotion this season.

Just wish it was us in automatic .

And if we don't approve of MK Dons do we approve of the Steelers and/or the Sharks?

Genuine question.

Is it bc Dons effectively robbed Wimbledon from the fans with the blessing of the Powers that Be?

Absolutely not, that is a rule in place voted for by the clubs and clearly known to all at the start of the season. Of all the crap that has been foisted on football over the past 30 years or so, the playoffs strike me as the one thing that has categorically improved football for the fans. Where previously there were weeks of sterile dead matches at the end of seasons there is interest for many more right up till the final round of games, that far outweighs, in my eyes, any perceived injustice that a particular team might feel in finishing above another team and not going up. I still preferred the original format though where the last relegation place in the league above fought it out with three teams from the division below.
