been to every single game this season for the forest and i always love going to big grounds like bramall lane, so i always like to come on these forums and query about were im sitting, on my ticket it says im in the lower jessica ennis stand gangway D, Row E, is this 5 rows from the front or does the ground have the confusing AA BB CC then A, B , C, D ,E etc rows? sorry if its a bit confusing i confuse myself 55 year old man aren't meant for this, ( not me anyway ) cheers guys and av a great game

That'll be 5 rows from the front, you're probably quite close to the goalmouth there. Wouldn't know what the view's like tho, never sat in the away end :)

That's the lower tier of the bramall lane end, which only has about 20 rows, so you're five from the front.

Welcome to the forum! You'll be five rows from the front, roughly in line with where Henderson's shots will end up. Bring a coat - the roof might not cover you if it rains :) If you've been to every game this season then you've already been to the Rust Bucket - this will be a much better experience in terms of stadium than that was.

Wow - helpful lot we are; two other replies in the time it took me to find a photo of the stand.

i hope im not gonna get P*ss wet through ! atleast if im near the front ill be able to shout at our young darlow in net if he cocks up ! i think this will be a proper game of football 2-2 and a rematch at the CG for me !

Absolutely, turn left out of the station and look for Shoreham Street on your right, then just walk in a straight line until you see the ground.

Many an away fan has ended up at the McDonald's on Suffolk Road following those simple instructions.

:D

If you're fancying a drink, go into town. You'll not get a drink in any of the pubs near the ground.

Nearest pub I know of that lets away fans in is Royal Standard, just down the road from the train station.

A few away fans go in the Howard before the game which is across the road from the station.

And if you are that near to the front, watch out for the stewards if Forest have the audacity to score. Anything they consider encroachment(ie one toe past the front row) and they'll whip you out with your arm up your back before you can say 'I wasn't born when the miners were on strike'!

I was a season ticket holder in the BLUT (now Jessica Ennis Stand) from 1971 to 1977. My seat was A 85. Loved the view although the steps are quite steep!

Is there anyway you could bring a coachload of "staff" from Hooters with you?

Most of us wouldn't give a fuck if we lost ten - nil if you did.

I don't know if it's more expensive (or a bit late to swap), but the view from the upper tier is about as good as you'll find behind a goal anywhere in the country. I think I'm right in saying you couldn't build a stand with such a steep rake these days.

The bottom tier is nice and close to the goal but obviously not great for seeing the other end of the pitch...
