Hi All,
Hope your all enjoying your preperations for the new season and hopeful for a succesful season.
I run a website and have previously written articles about United that have gone down quite well with your fans.
I have just completed a look ahead to the new season in which your club features heavily, it would be great if you could have a look and share your thoughts, so far the article has been well recieved by other fans.
The website is www. shoutsfromthestands.com
Thank you for your time and the best of luck this season

will probably have two of the best players in the League if they manage to hold onto Ched Evans and Daniel Bogdanovic.

League One must be well shit...

But Tony you are forgetting some fundamentals.
Ched is shit. No brain, cannot head the ball, not a team player, pretty fecking useless all round.
Boggy is very hit and miss. Can add a bit of flair and guile when he is in the mood but you don't get any level of consistency with him at all.
We were relegated because we had no pace, could not defend, could not score goals and played very negatively for most of the season.
Why you might expect SUFC to be favourites for anything but dropping a massive bollock is anyone's guess.
Expectations are lower than a snakes gonads - most of us don't expect to be much better than challenging for play offs - I think we will be lucky to finish above 10th place.
Expect more players out of the door before the tranny deadline. The wage bill has to be cut and we will be in a season of consolidation not celebration

That paragraph on United suggests one of two things Tony: either you know little about football or you did not watch United at all last season. The paragraph on Huddersfield being your favourites suggests (I fancy them too) it is probably the latter.

If many league one teams see us as promotion candidates then they will raise their game and/or try to thwart. Most teams will see us as a big scalp and I think this will be one of the many reasons as to why we will remain a League One club for at least another season. To me, and ,any United fans, this is a transition season. A year where we decrease the wage bill, brood youth, chang the style, clear out the junk and slowly build a squad. I would be delighted if we get promoted (as well as shocked) but I would take a consolidatary season if we show the right signs and get ready for an assault in 12/13.

Is pomposity a gift, or do you have to work at it?

In fairness Olle, some people might say the same about you, except instead of former/latter boleaux, how about just go for both.

I agree with this... We all wanted Boggy to be more involved last season, he could do a major job role for us. Evans, wont be here but again, if he is will be immense in that league. Evans, Quinn, Lowton & Riise were the 4 that put in the best shift towards the back end of the season. If Evans had played with that confidence and endeavour throughout his Blades career I think we'd be shuddering at the thought of him leaving

I couldn't disagree more with the comment on Evans here. The lad has lacked interest, heart, and has failed to show any characteristics of a striker and I for one cannot wait until the useless lad is shipped out and stops bleeding are club further to the stupid wages given to players at the moment. Waste of money and will never be a better striker simply because the lad lacks any sought of common sense and seems to be scared of heading the ball. For a reasonably tall lad that is pathetic I pray for the day he leaves Blades as we will be better off. Ched has had enough time to prove himself and has come up with nothing... to say he was one of the players who put a decent shift in is a joke.
