1)from the get go the intensity of the beginning of the season was back, very much enjoyable

2) The atmosphere was arguably the second best this season after the derby

3) Enda stevens had the winger in his pocket all game, was brave, tackled and looked to recycle the ball smartly at every opportunity

4) Lundstrams forward running improved the attacks hugely and was unlucky not to score

5) Baldock has an unbelievable engine and again was one of the best performers, he seems to be linking up with lundstram very well which is promising.

6) Basham and o’connell were back to overlapping and taking the ball forward, again contributing to the number of chances created.

7) we HAVE to be more clinical.

All in all still a positive night despite the gut punch of a late equaliser, came away very pleased tonight.

One think of note the last two games:
Spend 50k on your striker and you’ll drop four points

Have to agree with most of this - particularly the atmosphere and the clinical finishing. We need to put those two things right for the games we have coming up against the teams around us at home

and our most likely finisher of the last 2 seasons was sat in his arse all game. He might have missed a couple on Friday but all poachers like Billy rely on service. for once tonight there were plenty of chances in and around the box. i feel he would have got at least one tonight

He should have scored but credit to their keeper he spread himself very well and made a great save.

Would those chances have been created if he was on the Pitch?

Oddly I wasn’t particularly angry or even frustrated by conceding so late and dropping points when we really we should have put that one to bed. We got what we deserved after wasting so many good chances, but I was delighted with the performance and I think that’s reason to be optimistic that we can battle for 6th right to the wire.

Basham saw Hoillett off in the first half ,to the extent of him swapping wings and having a mare. Hoillet is one of the best players in the league ,Basham made him look a twat. 10 out of 10 performance for me tonight from Basham.

Agree. Basham is an enigma. Bambi on ice one game, Beckenbaur another. He was at it tonight all over the pitch, and its performances like that what matter most. Very impressive.

Just waiting for him to be skinned to a skeleton by Barnsley now.

Agree with some of the optimism

The bigger picture is “we just might be back” and more than a match for any team in this league.

I'd have rather seen Sharp come on instead of Donaldson, I think he'd have held the ball up better and is far more clinical in front of goal.

Tonight was a superb performance all round, we totally outplayed Cardiff for 85 minutes and I honestly believe if we'd continued with the same possession football for the last five minutes, instead of time wasting, we'd have got all three points.

Nevertheless, that looked like the team of last season and the start of this, got to say I'm much more optimistic of our play off chances after tonight's five star performance ;)

What he said :) but I'd add Fleck was awesome and Brooks/Clarke worked well again

He would have been bypassed much of the time the way we played.
