Like many of us,drove home very pissed off yesterday with the non performance of our players. The fact that a member of the backroom staff appeared to have tho force the players to come right over to us at the end to applaud it all said it all for me...most of them (except Hill) couldn't get off the pitch quick enough.
So that is the first positive....the backroom staff forcing the players to face up to the fans in the face of an awful performance. They didn't let them hide and the hopefully the players should have felt ashamed of themselves ( naive I know)
Number 2
The Play offs. We are known as bottlers in big games.
Against the top 6 this season
Bournemouth- won 2
Donny drawn 2
Yeovil- won 1 lost 1
Brentford won 1 drawn 1
Swindon - won 1 drawn 1
Overall
P 10,won 5,drawn 3 and lost 2. Basically we have an excellent again them and maybe(remember I said maybe) the play offs will suit our players.
Number 3
I thought it was quite obvious from Morgan's yesterday interview he was pissed off. He didn't accept that 3 matches in 3 days was an issue and words such as 'unacceptable' ,'changes' etc means that he expects higher standards. I hope this is an indicator that no player is guaranteed a place in the side and will make the changes. The impression many had of DW was that he put his arm round the too much. Morgan appears to be approaching this different and will shake things up a bit irrespective or personalities..
I know which can find a shitload of negatives about arrogant twats that played for us yesterday, the board and even Morgan, but I just get the feeling that, despite everything,we will still go up.
I am going to the last games, and the play offs and the final if we get there(the wife will force me ;-) ) but i just need a bit of hope with regards To the Blades to cling onto before it is finally snatched away from me in our own time-honoured way.
Right, just finished that pack of Stella, onto the Smirnoff now
