1. KEVIN McCABE
What have you done to our club? Three years ago, you were the best thing that had happened to us and now you seem intent on wrecking us completely. We need to hear from you right now, Kevin, we need you to give it to us straight. How did we end up in so much debt? How did we manage to go from the strongest team in the division to the weakest in three seasons? How have we managed to appoint two of the worst managers ever to our club in Blackwell and Robson? More than ever, you need to take the flack and face up to it. Answer the questions honestly, pull no punches, admit your mistakes.

2. GARY SPEED
The Blades fans are hurting but deep down I don't think people are blaming you for the mess. Managing your country is an honour and nobody would blame you for walking away ... but if you are going to do it, don't play the Blades fans for fools. Admit you're interested if you are and go quickly to give our beloved club chance to re-group. Don't string this out otherwise the Blades will turn on you too.

3. THE PLAYERS
I can accept that you were disappointed at the end of today's match and I can accept that you felt that you'd done enough to deserve a point but you have to understand the fan's anger. You cannot run/walk off into the corner like most of you did today (aside from Bartley, Ward and Yeates) when the 2-3000 Blades have backed you for most of the game and not acknowledge the support you received. We pay your wages, we are the reasons you have a job, we are the people who wear that same shirt you wear with pride and defiance however good or bad we are. We are proud of that shirt and that badge and your ignorance of us at the end was unacceptable. When you've played poorly, you have to face up to the Blades and show you care, show you're hurting no matter what the abuse is.

There are a few of you who need to seriously consider the performances you are putting in. Are you one of the players who (a) cannot control a ball, (b) cannot pass a ball and/or (c) doesn't show the fight and passion expected by the Blades? Are you one of the players being paid far too much, even in the inflated market, for the performances you are putting in? Do you think that the Blades deserve the ignorance when they have forked out £25 just before Christmas to watch you, to support YOU for 85 minutes? Do you think that we want you to jog off like you don't care when many of us have family, friends and neighbours who support the shower of shite that just beat you, our club? You need to do the honourable thing: renegotiate contracts and stop bleeding the club out of money you don't deserve, admit you're not doing enough, apologise, offer money back to the fans ... whatever it takes.

4. THE FANS
I know it is difficult. It's heart-breaking for the true fans - and we know who we are and who isn't (Posting at 4:03pm when you're living in the area? You're not a true fan!) - but try and keep the faith. This is our club and we must remain United, we must give the lads our backing as often as we can. It's the only way we can get out of this mess we are in.

I'm truly demoralised this evening.

Up the Blades.

Great post and one I fully agree with. The fans mustn't turn against each other which has happened recently .

If Speed goes(which I think he will),the Board will have to make a quick decision due to the transfer window

The AGM could be interesting

Sound post. Bottle that passion and inject the players with it and we'll be champions of the world.

One exception - if people post on here at 4.03 rather than being at the match, please don't judge them even if they live locally.

Otherwise post of the season!

Good post, the 4.03 comment out of order. I was raising thousands of pounds for charity. I have paid my 409 pounds for a season ticket, but there is life beyond sufc.

Fantastic post WombwellBlade. I'm also a Barnsley based Blade and have work colleagues friends family etc who support the "shower of shite" we lost to yesterday. Thing is pal that's the way it goes. We've had bragging rights against them for 11 years so when we come unstuck with half a reserve team away from home and only lose 1-0 lets be big boys and girls and move on. Things aren't good at the moment with a "resurgent" Leeds, a cocka hoop Wendy, vastly improved Donny and a defeat to Barnsley. You make your choice of club come hell or high water. I'm like you proud to be a Blade and always will be.

Absolutely brilliant post Cahill.
You've summed it up beautifully.
Come hell or high water i'll still wear the badge with 100% commitment.
Here's hoping we come through the current mess at OUR club.

Posting at 4:03pm when you're living in the area? You're not a true fan

I didn't post at 4.30

Good post WB shame about the true fan comment. But your heart is in the right place.

The name-calling is out of order, but to suggest that someone isn't a true fan because they didn't go to Barnsley regardless of where they live is ridiculous. We've had this argument before on here - how do you measure "Bladeness"? You can't, and to question another fan's loyalty or level of support is silly, to say the least.

I am still pissed. I could understand if it's a home game however it's close to Christmas and are skint.
The irony that he is from Barnsley hasn't been lost on me though :)

What the hell is the true fan stuff about ?
If they were playing in my back garden tomorrow I wouldn't travel to see them at this moment in time.
Guess that must mean i'm not a blade then.

I agree with AW, 2 weeks before xmas many people don't have much money to spare. And, why should people waste their hard earned cash paying large amounts of money to watch a team where half of the players don't give a flying fuck? Those that go everywhere and spend daft money will tell themselves they are "true blades" and devoted to the cause. However, at the moment, mugs might be a better description.

I've stuck two fingers up at away games this year. Coupled with playing on a Saturday morning, I honestly don't care enough at the moment to throw £50 away on a Saturday afternoon to pay for some fuck-tards £10k p/w wages.

If it makes me less of a Blade then so be it. I've got bigger things in my life to worry about right now!

Infractions for personal abuse dished out.

There is no excuse and I expect better.

(Posting at 4:03pm when you're living in the area? You're not a true fan!)

Sorry but I completely disagree with this.
I cannot make weekend matches home or away at the moment through a combination of money and having my 2 year old daughter stop with me at weekends.
It doesn't make me any less of a blade.

Whoa, I've caused a stir. Look, I guess the choice of phrase was wrong, apologies for offending folks. I was pretty emotional - as many of us were - at that time and I was rushing too.

Whilst I understand that there are reasons for not going (family, finance etc ...) I was more getting at the folk who were posting on here in their usual negative, unhelpful way at 4:03pm. My point is that the team need us to be 'United' right now; we're the only consistent aspect of the club. Yesterday, the backing from the Blades fans was - for the most part - excellent and you'd not guess that the Blades were doing so badly from it. That's what our club needs: when McCabe, Birch, Speed, the players are gone, when they're all gone, we'll all still be here. It's very difficult but we need to back them and have our say afterwards. It's the only way we can help them get out of this mess.
