A few observations from the stats:

- in terms of overall contribution, Burrows was MOTM, with second most key passes, second most accurate crosses, joint most successful dribbles, most touches, an assist and a goal - on top of his defensive contributions. Perhaps due to the (deserved) sending off, the rest of the defensive stats are a tad low, as we faced little threat, with Souza impressive as normal, and Cooper (one shot on target against us) Anel and Robbo largely untroubled.

- one aspect we dominated (unusually) was the aerial battle especially offensively, with Moore winning 9 aerial duels, with next best 6 (being very good from Choud), and overall we won 65% of all aerial duels, This made Robbo’s throws a far more effective weapon. FWIW, whilst Peck was interfering with play if offside, I am unconvinced that any part of his body which could play the ball was ahead of the ball when Campbell headed it forward. It was certainly marginal.

- creatively a few deserve mention. Hamer with most key passes, most successful crosses etc performed highly as always (and even had most successful tackles). But Brewster also did well with joint second most key passes, second most crosses and remarkably a 100% pass completion rate. And although the subs don’t have great stats overall, it’s worth noting Brooks and O’Hare scored, showing the value of a strong bench. Finally Peck had most shots (4) perhaps showing his desperation to finally score!

- overall we had an xG of 2.77 against their miserly 0.23, creating 6 big chances to their none. So an entirely fair scoreline.

Let’s not be complacent, turn up in numbers and good voice on Monday, finish the job in style and go to Wembley on the front foot!

Credit where credits due. Manager doesn’t show up in stats but it’s worth noting Wilder got the line up Bob on last night (albeit I was surprised JLT started ahead of Holding) and the subs were in the right positions and at the right time.
Almost like a manager with 1000+ games under his belt does know something

Thanks Cool

Whilst I would have started OHare instead of Brewster, and Holding instead of Robinson, both starters played well. And for once (touching all wood!) we seem to be progressing through the playoffs without an injury crisis and suspensions, giving Wilder tough decisions to make, and meaning our bench should remain strong.
