Dowell first half of last season probably the best attacking midfielder in the league, we beat Blackburn and derby but in the first half’s we were below par imo , love Duffy but dowell is better

I think the jury is well and truly out on wether or not the circa £1m it is costing to fund the GM loan deal for 5 months represents effective or not.

At that price he HAS to have a positive impact.

When Duffy’s on it he’s the perfect player for us suits our style , but when he’s not I think teams can control the midfield like against Blackburn and derby.
I think without the referee in both matches changing the atmosphere it wouldn’t have been such easy wins in the end.

So if Dowell takes Duffy's place , is he going to be ' on it ' for 90 minutes every game ? Of course not and , on the basis that he didn't exactly make the earth move under my feet ( or the sky come tumbling down for that matter) against Barnet , one wonders just how stellar his performances would have been against the likes of Derby and Blackburn .

The reality is that Derby clearly identified him as a major threat and we're all over him like a cheap suit every time he got near the ball .

To some extent this nullified his own contribution but , at the same time , created space for others to increase theirs
You have still not responded to my request to tell us how many times you have seen him play to justify your statement that Dowell is a better player than Duffy . Instead , you simply come up with another completely unsubstantiated statement that he was ' the best attacking midfield player in the first half of last season ' which is quite frankly , bollocks .

If you're going to come on here as a new and very young member and think you can start educating the many members who've had more hot dinners than you've seen football matches , then you're in for a very rude awakening .

Well dowell scored ten goals by Christmas from midfield so yes he was one of the best midfielders in the league before Christmas last year, and I’m saying I think Duffy has faded recently and clearly dowell is gonna give him at least more competition than Woodburn.

And yes I do think dowell is a better player than Duffy that’s just my opinion , sorry do you have to have a certain amount of posts to get an opinion on this forum ?

No , opinions are fine but sweeping unsubstantiated statements used to contradict other people's opinions are not popular .
