This has tested the memory a little! I'll extend it a little further, with best/ worst for each category

Best Match: WBA Away last season - It was probably the moment where i realised we had a chance. We were brilliant that day
Worst Match: Exeter Away in 2011/12. Last game of the season, Needed a win and pigs loss, then Beattie got sent off...

Best Player: Billy - Came in before Wilder as part of the Adkins Coup, but more importantly led the way on the pitch at the start of the Wilder revolution. Can't speak highly enough about him. He's just the beating heart of the club.
Worst Player: Neil Collins - He was the epitome of everything that was wrong at the club. A pretty poor player, working hard, but was he was an acceptance of mediocrity.

Best Moment: John Egan "If you don't have a song in Ireland, you may as well not go to the pub at all" - I think it would be easy to say Duffy's goal, but that win against Bolton at Home sent us on our way
Worst Moment: Ched going down. Such a hammer blow and to compound it, Wednesday took our place and went up

Best Manager: Wilder - obviously
Worst Manager: David Weir - Its easy to say Adkins, he was awful, but i think Weir just took us down to a level which was so hard to come back from.

Best Signing: Fleck - From League 1 to Prem League. It could've been one of many Egan, Billy, McG, Norwood, Bash, Stevens, Hendo, Mousse etc.... but Fleck has become an almost complete player.
Worst Signing: Hammond - Was talked up by many and Adkins tried to get support for him, but he was just awful

Best Sale: Che Adams - The lad wanted to go and we needed the money to kick on. His sale (along with Ramsdale and DCL) opened many doors for other players
Worst Sale: Jamie Murphy - Quality player at the time and was pretty key to what we were doing

Best Signing: This is a bit too similar to "Best player" for me. But I'm going to choose John Fleck - he cost nowt and has driven us forward. (Norwood also close, but Fleck gets it for me as he's been on the journey with us longer).
Worst Sale: David Brooks, without any shadow of a doubt. The best young player to come through the ranks at BDTBL since Tony Currie.
Best Sale: DCL - He looked very ordinary for us and we got a good price for him at the time. Of course, if you want to judge this with hindsight, based on him coming good in the past month for Everton, then he could be your worst sale?

Worst Players: Hammond, Notworthy, Jordan Stewart, Andy Taylor, Marcus Williams, Elian Parrino

Best Players: Sharp, Didzy, Maguire, Brooks, Mooose, Fleck, Norwood, JO'C, Egan, Bash and on and on and on

Best Moments: promotion to the PL, Bouncing Day Massacre

Worst Moments: relegation to League 1, Coutts breaking his leg, 2-2 Stevenage Home game where we effectively handed the Pigs promotion

Worst Manager: David Weir

Best Manager & Assistant: Chris Wilder & Alan Knill

Best Signings: all of the current team, no debate is there really?

Worst Sale: not as many as you would think, the majority of these were during L1 where it would've been difficult to keep hold of 'em

Best Sale: can't think of many I was glad to see the back of that we would've gotten a decent fee for, but the Brooks and DCL sales probably helped us on our way to the 2 promotions

Best Player: Tough one, hard to choose anyone other than Sharp, but JOC, Egan, Bash, Fleck, Norwood & McG would all be joint 2nd.

Best Manager: Sir Chris Wilder
Best Signing: Egan,Norwood, or McG - they were the perfect additions after our first season in Championship - McG probably wins for being a free signing.
Worst Sale: Genuinely can't think of any I was that gutted about, Brooks would have been nice to keep but selling him funded us reaching the Prem.
Best Sale: Che Adams - gave the money for Wilder to revamp the team when he took over. Not exactly setting the world on fire at Southampton these days either.

Worst Match: Bury 1-0 Sheffield United. Adkins wondered why we were jeering. No shots on goal against chuffin Bury in the p*ss*n rain on a Tuesday night? I wonder.

Worst Player: So many to choose from but it has got to be Dean Hammond in the end.

Best Player: Again, so many to choose from in the last couple of years. I'll go with John Fleck but big shouts for Billy Sharp, Mark Duffy and Jack O'Connell.

Best Moment: "If you don't f*ck*ng bounce, if you're not f*ck*ng bouncing, you're a ... ohhhh f*ck!" Mark Duffy, you are an absolute legend.

Worst Manager: Tempting to go for Adkins but actually he was better than David Weir by an absolute mile. Weir just pips Adams in the end.

Best Manager: (pointless but I'll add it) Chris Wilder obvs. But a shout out for Danny Wilson who, for a short while at least, gave us some hope and some damn good football.

Best Signing: In terms of overall impact, the likes of Fleck and Duffy come to mind again. However, I'm going to go for Enda Stevens here just pipping David McGoldrick. Fleck and Duffy were no brainers in League 1 given our status and the solid seasons they had at Coventry and Burton the season before. McGoldrick was a WTF moment for most fans. Stevens though was from absolutely nowhere and has been a revelation.

Worst Sale: Nick Blackman. Whatever hope we had left at that point disappeared when we sold him. He was our only source of goals post-Ched and it just seemed to confirm that we were heading into the League 1 wilderness.

Best Sale: Getting somebody to voluntarily take Martyn Woolford was impressive but the release of Dean Hammond, whilst technically not a sale, was a great start for Wilder.

Worst Match: Sarfend at home. All this buzz about Wilder and how he was a manager on the up and all the decent signings he'd made and we were 3-0 down at home within twenty minutes. Thought the only way out of L1 from there was down.
Worst Player: The unseen one. Manure in the FA Cup sealed the deal- that cunt gifted Rooney a penalty when we were all but guaranteed a big moneh replay at a time we needed one. We did play quite well though, which was surprising given the side!
Best Player: Billy, Didzy, Hendo, Fleck...
Best Moment: Stopping Tango and his ilk from bouncing, Basham's arriving, JOC's header against Ipshit, Fleck's goal at Northampton, Notlob's shock defeat to Oldham which meant we won our first real silverware since 1982
Worst Manager: Micky Adams, Weir. Adkins can be a good manager with the right team. We clearly were not the right team.
Best Manager: Nigel Clough (kidding!)
Best Signing: Sharp, Fleck, Hendo
Worst Sale: DCL, Ched to Porridge FC. Fucked up our promotion push and his career in one fell swoop.
Best Sale: Che. Thought Wilder was fucking mad at the time but now realise it helped our promotion bid.

Worst Manager(s): Atkins, Clough, Weir, Wilson, Speed, Adams and any other wage-thief who should never leave the 'Quest' studio. The odd 'law of averages' purple patch doesn't make up for their general shittiness.
Worst Player: Surprised there's no mention of The Great White Dope - Michael Higdon.
Best Moment: Sept. 24, 2017. 4-2 at Hillsborough. We Were Back. And they still know it.
Best Manager: Pointless question but CW is our best manager in my 50+ years of supporting United.
Best signing: Pick any out of half-a-dozen of the current squad.
Worst Sale: David Brooks. One of those rare players who could get you out of your seat. Will always be rememebered for 'megging Jack Cunt.
Best Sale: David Brooks. Allowed CW to totally re-shape the squad. £12m now seems a lot for a player who is too small and seems to have underlying problems, health-wise. 20 games a season max. (next year in The Championship, maybe?).

They were British ex pats and a Blade living in’their village got them into us, he’dsince died and they were on a sort of pilgrimage in his memory. They were massively disappointed.
