Thought we showed a bit more fight and passion today.

0-0 against Boro. Not too bad a start for Blackie.

:)

Thought it was alot better.

We showed passion and fight.

Just lacked rather alot in front of goal.

Was more fight than usual, I thought Boro were there for the taking but we didn't show enough adventure. Still an improvement though, kick on from here try and save our season if there is much to save.

Was definately a better performance, we played some good football at times.

Geary was magnificent at times, and Downing never had a sniff.

Very disappointed with the refereeing though.

Quinny my MOTM, took a reight battering in midfield and still got on with his game.

Onwards and upwards!

Agreed he was my MOTM aswell.

Took a real kicking today surprised he wasnt injured.

Surprised Sharpy got back up after that dreadful challenge (from pogatez I think) where he took out his knee.

0-0
0-0
0-0

We have to build on 0-0's
Middlesboring love 0-0 draws, they were lucky to have held us to 0-0 with their constant fouling assisted by the crap referee.

Now THAT is the type of Blades performance I have missed ever since the last day of the season. We pressed them down well on some occasions the way that we used to.

A good start for Blackwell, he and the players should give themselves a pat on the back. :)

Massive improvement, but listening to the 'experts' on the BBC we didnt give Robson enough time and the injury to Beattie and Hulse stoped him achieving greatness, they obviously havent been to many gmaes here this season.

Dirty set of smoggie primadonnas!

MOM for me goes to Tonge. MUCH MUCH BETTER!

Squinny, well done, close second with Geary not far behind.

stead and geary for me, squinny played well and tonge was much improved

Billy was robbed a real goal scoring chance (why was the defender only booked for that challenge - he was the last man??), and I thought he played quite well with Beattie aswell

Very promising :)

Better than last week certainly (could it really be any worse???). We are suffering from a complete lack of form up front. We don't have anybody in a forward position scoring or even looking like scoring. MOTM was probably Squinny, although Del Boy had a good game and Stead was doing really well up until he got injured.

Worst performance of the day was the ref, closely followed by the tossers (sorry pundits) sticking up for their mate and making us out to be a terrible reactionary club, when we're nothing of the sort ('model chairman that Gibson, he doesn't sack managers'...yeah right!!).

Boro taking us back to Riverside might have been their plan from the start of the second half once they saw we wasn't letting them walk all over us, they are real good at home

I wouldn't say Played 13, won 4, drawn 4, losing 5 as being "real good"

Edit: in fact its the 4th worst in the Premier League.

Ah sorry, in all honesty i never checked, i have herds from a couple of people that Boro have been doing good at home, so i feared the worse when we eventually get there. Cheers for that Robbie, filled me with a lil bit of confidence there :D...not much though

To be fair they've beaten Arsenal there this season and thats about all to shout about!

Saturday wasnt a real improvement in skill but the fight and passion was clearly there ... Think the lack in anything up top is due to lack in confidence ... We all know with Stead, Hulse, Beattie, Sharp, Shelton (Webber) we've got the ability but i think its purely lack of belief ... None of them (bar Shelton) have scored for a long time and when Shelton has, hes been dropped almost immediately ... Sharp will come good but even if hes not scoring the energy and fight he provides is uplifting

Squinny looks immense - if only the pitch was better he could show his creative ability too ... Geary - well he was just Geary! ... Martin - really looking positive ... and well Tonguey - really looked a new player - showed what he can do! He was calm in posession and battled like never before!

Things can only get better!

UTB
