I wish we would try more shots, but HAVE to be well struck and on target (not leaning back, cutting across the ball and slicing high and wide!).

There's been quite a few deflected goals in prem this season, or goalkeeper spills leading to tap in for advancing forward.

A couple of potential reasons for this, or a bit of both.

First I'd say is that we tend to get plenty behind the ball and this leads to some frustration of the attacking side so let loose from outside the box more often; would be interesting to see where the shots do come from in terms of yardage.

Second is that the midfield is just not doing its job properly and closing down and getting in tackles. I'm not normally one for picking out individual players but Souza for me is just a passenger at the moment caught in the twilight zone between a DM and AM, maybe give him the benefit of the doubt to 'acclimatise' but he just doesn't seem to be cutting it. A bit harsh maybe but I'd be tempted to sit Norwood and Harmer deep with McAtee in front for what it's worth.
