Looks that way. Plus our strikers look like they can only play in a front two - cannon, One etc. Only thing is where does that leave O Hare/Hamer unless they go back to the classic Duffy role. Means we need to sign 2 CB's not 1 (one left footed) and a back up RWB.

I love Brooks like everyone (most) else but let's be honest he probably had 1 good game in 4/5 and his goals per game ratio was disastrous.

He is one of our own as well so has had more opportunities to shine than others and he's not made the most of it.

If you get an offer you can't refuse sometimes it's best to move on and divert those funds into another direction. A genuine game changer maybe.

There's an element here of us waiting for some news/any news in June that indicates that the club are going to be serious contenders but what happens first is we lose a promising player.

Let’s face it, Wilder probably knows he’s out of a job before Christmas if things don’t improve. Going back to what gave him the most success would make sense.

His main asset is dribbling in space. Not crossing, passing or shooting. His spell in the middle for us was when we were obviously doomed and like cheering for the home fighter in round 12 having been toyed with in previous rounds hoping for a knockout that never came.

In my pub before the England game a lad i know told me he'd heard "from a good contact " ( I know) that Hamer is definitely going and Brookes was leaving, which was a surprise, because next season we aren't playing with wingers and Brookes wanted to leave, he also mentioned that Peck could be going as well, Hamer and Peck wouldn't be a shock but I told him, Brookes? Whether by circumstance or design, the logic of buying WBs/CBc/CMs over wingers makes a lot of sense on a reduced budget.
