One thing to consider with my proposal is that the BLUT away allocation would only be occasional - not for the majority of games. So most of the time it would be no different to what it is now.

Yet the twats only gave us 2,700.
Because they matched what we were going to give them,
So Wednesday knew - almost four months after the Hillsborough game - how many tickets we'd give them at The Lane? No chance. The poor allocation they gave us on September 24th was sheer spite and a deliberate attempt to nullify our support. The Preston Cup game (where we allocated an extra 500 tickets in the BLUT for Preston and re-located our own fans just 3 days before the game) proves how fluid these arrangements can be.
After their insultingly-low allocation - where they couldn't even sell out their own areas - should have resulted in us giving them a big, fat zero allocation. Or had Durham Constabulary already been alerted about another big overtime payday?

We apparently told the SAG before the season no team would be given more than 2700 and bits that are on the BLLT for League games

Those higher prices bought them a £10.000.000 striker, and now a manager who doesn’t play strikers from the start..... marvellous isn’t it...

Sure that's what they'll wish but in reality the gate income nowhere near covers their outlay.
They might do a lot better with returning players next season but if they don't they must be looking at a major clearout of very expensive players.

I’d like to see our club really get behind your BLUT thing by:

a) publicising the ‘singing area’ for want of a better phrase (and there must be one!)

b) selling unallocated seat STs in that area.

I’m just a dreamer, I know.

Chatting to a mate at work who supports Villa, he told me that they (Villa) have sold out 4630 tickets at the sty for Saturdays game, that's a lot of cash.

Whether we like it or not, football is about money these days, this is the number of tickets that we should be sending to the big clubs. It also ups our average,

Its madness to have thousands of empty seats that could be sold IMO

So we should allow an area for 5000 away fans even though only a few hundred hoops turned up last night ?

That's the definition of MASSIVE. Mind the gap - could be 18 points on Friday night. :D

As anyone who has any idea of speakers and speaker cabinets will tell you,

But the best 'quality' loudspeakers have no cabinets, electrostatics rule....dipole radiation and all that, boxes are great for 'noise' though.

Who is going to pay Rhodes wages let alone any transfer fee.

Sorry mate, brought up in the late 60's when there was only noise available.

Thought this was going to be a thread about a revolutionary new formation.

The brainchild of Pep-ose Mouriniola after looking across the Pennines and realising there’s a new stylish brand of football been being forged in the S2 district of Sheffield that rising fearlessly up the league and pissing in the pots of the rich & famous

Almost £200k in villa ticket sales. No brainer to me. Our stance of 2200 max was outlined at the beginning of the season. Remember reading a quote from the elusive SAG committee. Hence the Pigs giving us the same amount. A big away following can work in your favour, but I believe that a good atmosphere is often generated by a big away following. It spurs on the home crowd to get behind the team. Even 500 can sound loud when they have something to shout about.
