Barney's the gift that keeps on giving, so sharp he's in danger of cutting himself..... he thought we'd signed a player, went straight on shoutbox to predict we'd sign somebody who would be rubbish.

He then named the player, not on Rumours, but on here and when it all turns out to be untrue, just deleted the heading of the thread, leading to the morse code ...

Even an uneducated fool like me knows that you can delete entire threads, Barney clearly isn't aware of that kind of damage limitation strategy.

Instead, he flails around accusing everybody of overreacting, and as usual, it's nothing to do with him.

Irony (to be accurate): the expression of one's meaning by using language that normally signifies the opposite, typically for humorous or emphatic effect. And since you asked so nicely, you didn't fail to disappoint in being ridiculous enough to ridicule a mistake.
