I notice that the U21s lost at home today, so we shouldn't have to worry about any of the triallists not fitting in with the first team at least.

Get the feeling Clifford will be signed. Gamble IMHO. He has casued trouble elsewhere

So he has caused problems elsewhere. Haven't we already got a model of this lad at the club called McFadzean. Might as well give our own trouble causer a start first.
trials like these are the most pointless thing ever. you cant judge anybodies ability playing in the rain with a bunch of kids. the only way to see if a player is any good, is to have him around the first team for a while. if you think a player may have something to offer, sign him up even its just for a month at first. if you arent sure, then just dont bother. when has anybody ever had a trial then turned out to be messi??
Is that you Trevor?

McFadzean a trouble causer?
His brother had issues when at the club, but I've not heard of any issues with the younger McFad.
I wouldn't imagine he's pacey, so seems pointless when we already have Kitson, Porter and Cresswell in that ilk!
From what i understand and not gospel, he behaves in the same way as his brother when he was at the club. I did see an interview with his bro saying that he keeps telling Callum to learn from his mistakes. I think that and his foot problem (not football related) may be the cause of problems of not getting into the team.
Some players like his older bro take time to mature, it's just what you do with them in the meantime I suppose.
Absolutely. Charisteas has played for some proper clubs. If he's half as fit as he used to be, he's twice the player that we already have.As for Charisteas, it's not long ago since he was playing for Greece. Quality player if I remember rightly.
Well that wouldn't change anything.Probably this lot

Run that by me again bergs.... You've lost me.But it would be like having Simon Tracey, Paddy Kenny and Mel Rees as your goalkeepers, and then spending the rest of your money on Alan Kelly, although you only had Laurent d'Jaffo and Richard Cresswell up front.
Perhaps it's more simple than that... Perhaps he brings experience and maybe goals, unlike Cresswell and porter. We have four target men in the squad, but really need a quick goalgetter a la Miller.
Yet we are looking to add a fifth target man. He is probably a very good target man (if fit), but as we need other player types more we shouldn't be looking at him.
