When it comes to "promotion", Sheffield United hold more unhappy than happy memories. You would struggle to find that many clubs in the hierarchy of English Football with more flops in play-off finals for instance.

The Blades currently sit at the top of the English League One table and with only a handful of games left to play, they are front runners not only for promotion, but for the title as well. Should they achieve this then they would achieve a different sort of promotion title, however this one a positive one. They would achieve what only a small group of elite clubs have achieved in winning the title in all four of England's top flight divisions.

In celebration of this achievement the club have proposed to celebrate their new elite status by altering the club crest and adding four embroidered, gold stars. Similar to what you would see on the shirts of Bayern Munich, Manchester City and the rest of Europe's elite.

A club spokesman told us "We feel that this would be a fantastic way to celebrate the achievement, in the wake of what has been a frustrating half a decade for the club and our supporters. Winning the League One title will see us join an elite number of clubs who have achieved all four titles"

Of course this is a complete load of fabricated bullsh*t!....I repeat, no truth in this what so ever!!!

I was going to save this until April Fools Day, however after being promised a "shitstorm" and "outrage" on here today, I decided to bring this forward in hope of catching a few biters!

Pre-Trump this would have been 'a complete load of fabricated bullsh*t' but now it's known as Fake News. Quite within your right to post it Green Man.

I think it would be just as apt to have embroidered penis's in celebration to all the useless managers we've had since we were last in the top flight! Adkins candidates have an extra large one next to David Weirs!!
