On checking records the last players to score 4 goals in a first team game are as follows:-

16.2.1935 - Jock Dodds v Southampton Division 2

20.12.1958 - Doc Pace v Charlton Ath Division 2

27.11.1971 - Alan Woodward v Ipswich T Division 1 ( 1 penalty)

27. 8.1983 - Keith Edwards v Gillingham Division 3

19.11.1983 - Keith Edwards v Wrexham FA Cup 1

4-11-17 - Leon Clarke ripping UL a new one, Championship.

Billy Joel's Uptown Girl was number one the last time a Blades player scored four goals in one game :)

Harry Hammond scored 5 in the 6-3 win against Bootle in the 2nd division in November 1892 also Harry Johnson scored 5 in the 6-2 win against West Ham in the first division in Boxing Day 1927

The original post is certainly incomplete.

There were a number of 4 goal scorers before the War - Dunne and Johnson did it on more than one occasion. The OP is just listing the most recent ones.

Johnson's 5 against West Ham was one occasion when a player scored 4 in one half: Fred Tunstall, who got the other goal, scored first and it was 2-1 at half time. It may have happened on other occasions but the reports would have to be checked. Clarke is certainly the only one post War to score 4 in one half.
