Those of you wanting a change back to 442, how would you get our exciting, new attacking midfielders into the formation? To be fair, can't see them fitting into 4231 either, but there we go! If only we had McCall to call upon and play (my personal favourite) 4141...
This comes from a bit of an estranged Blade so looking forward to (hopefully) see the formation work at Wolves.

Doyle can't play as one of the central midfield pair as he's not mobile enough and the opposition overrun us. We'd need another centre mid.

I'd try Murphy up front with Taylor that's where he did well in Scotland .

I reckon we are desperate for a winger and an attacking full back which I've mentioned n another post

I still can't see Cuvelier and Baxter both playing in 442 or 4231 from what I've heard/seen of them. Both too attacking, surely?

I agree, unless they can somehow get both of them in the 3 of a 4-2-3-1. I suppose in a 4-4-2 you could have Cuvelier in the middle with someone more defensive and Baxter upfront, but I can't imagine we'll see that.

Cuvelier could play centrally but he'll need someone bloody good next to him. Unfortunately we jave captain Doyle who I suspect hasn't gotthe legs.

Cuvelier describes his best position as being a 'box to box' midfielder so he could easily slot into a 2 man midfield. Baxter up top but dropping deep to link up play similar to how Billy Clarke did while on loan at us.

A guess at how we'll line up on Saturday:

Howard
McMahon Maguire Collins Hill
Coady Doyle
Cuvelier Baxter Murphy
Taylor
Formation 6-3-1 ;)

Howard
Westlake McGuire Collins. Mcfazdene
Doyle
Coady. Cuvallier
Baxter

Taylor. Murphy

442
