Just imagine if we still had Hao Hai Dong, Tickle Mee Dong.If only we had kept Kieffer cos then we could have Tickle Mee Moore.
Beats Short, Curle and Dong

Bags of experience at 55 and coaching at Huddersfield, so wouldn’t need to nice house. It’s a yes from me.Is Ian Bennett still alive?

if the reports that cooper may need surgery theres no blocker he comes in and him and cooper fight for the jersey next season weve got competition in most outfield positions we should also have competition for the keeper spotBut from his perspective why would you join us now when there is a significant blocker in your way to first team experience and improvement? It’s not like he’s 30, there’s only a couple of years between them and he’s playing regularly now.
Isn’t he going down to allow CW to give a team talk when we were under pressure. Keepers don’t have to go off after treatment like outfield players.I think he is quite clearly suffering with a problem. He had to go off at Coventry and also has gone down a couple of times (the latest at Leicester) with some sort of injury. The club are not going to come out and confirm its an injury as it would alert the opposition to a weakness which they would likely try and exploit
Didn`t we have a Bent, Dong scenario up front one time?Just imagine if we still had Hao Hai Dong, Tickle Mee Dong.

Not sure if he is wanting a contract, is fit enough or whatever, one potential on the freebie list as in without a club is former ‘boro amongst others, Tom Glover, he is still on 27, 6ft 5 so a decent height and can pull off some routine saves, this was the “welcome to Boro highlight reel” below. He was a 2nd keeper at Boro only playing 19 times over 2 seasons but could be a stop gap whilst we are looking at our options. End of season Grbic and Davies hopefully are gone as both of their contracts are up, Faxton hasn’t had enough men’s football minutes and in the U21s and U18s games he has made errors that would be punished in the Championship.
Ideally what we need is a solid backup keeper, sending Faxton out on loan and one that can challenge Coopers spot, if we had that luxury. Either way Glover could do a job if needed.

Although not too much online, I did find the below article, before he left for 'boro where he mentions, he was "sharpening his ground game" after "(being) fully aware that dominating in the air and possessing acrobatic reflexes are only part of the resume of a modern keeper" which suggests that he does come for crosses and being the height he is you would expect him to claim them.Good shot stopper but doesn’t show if he’s a flapper at crosses. Cooper has been making a few suspect decisions on incoming crosses but still have confidence in him. However, needs a more reliable challenger for GK especially if rumours re fitness are true.
More chance of The Two Ronnies doing a new Christmas show.I’m on board for a Grbic redemption story.
I actually agree whole heartedly with this , Davies has my arse nipping every time I see him on the team sheet. Faxon should be being given more time to establish himself on loan to a league 2 team .To allow Cooper to recover properly if needed.
Start with the obvious one;
Sam Tickle - Wigan
Arguably the best shot stopper in League One currently with a save percentage of over 75%. However Wigan are aware of his value and contracted till 2028. Probably wouldn't be able to get him for under 5 mill.
Viljami Sinisalo - Celtic
When at Exeter was in top 90th percentile in EFL for goals prevented, and was voted Exeter player of the year. However since moving to Celtic has not been given the game time he was hoping for.
Killian Cahill - Leyton Orient
Having a breakout season similar to when Trafford was at Bolton. High volume of clean sheets and cleansheet streaks, regularly winning man of the match. At just 22 looks like going to have a big future in front of him.
Totally agreed the downside is working out who (For Faxton) that’s why I personally think we need a solid 2nd keeper that allows Faxon minutes on loanI actually agree whole heartedly with this , Davies has my arse nipping every time I see him on the team sheet. Well he's not gonna be first choice with us , is he ?A Wigan fan on X reckons he turned down Arsenal as he wants the be first choice. Exactly the type of character we should be looking for
Based on Cooper's form this season, if he's any good then yes he could well be.Well he's not gonna be first choice with us , is he ?
Fair enoughBased on Cooper's form this season, if he's any good then yes he could well be.
Disclaimer - I think Cooper has an underlying issue that needs sorting, so signing this kid to come in makes sense.
We aren't in for a GK this Jan, expect midfielders only, and maybe Bamford extension.
so do i unless wilder doesnt see us as genuine play off contenders this season and is leaving it while next summer for a new keeper but any further injury to cooper and we can forget any chance of top 6Even though CW has seemingly made it quite clear that we need another right back... he also seemed to suggest up to 4 players coming in (in addition to Bamford). We arent going to be bringing in another 4 midfielders so whilst its a case of wait and see, i think your source is wide of the mark this occasion. We will see.
One of the CMs can also play right back, I expect 3 in, 2 loans and a permanent.Even though CW has seemingly made it quite clear that we need another right back... he also seemed to suggest up to 4 players coming in (in addition to Bamford). Wrexham had 7 shots on target and scored 5 which is Sunday league level stuffDefinitely need to look at a new keeper in Jan.
Cooper starting to look a bomb scare with any shots on target.
Definately should have done better with Moore's 2nd from that angle.
Defence didn't help mind..

Choudhury?
Last night again proved we are nowhere near top six in a very ordinary divisionso do i unless wilder doesnt see us as genuine play off contenders this season and is leaving it while next summer for a new keeper but any further injury to cooper and we can forget any chance of top 6
