They don’t have to get us onboard, they own the club. No sentiment in business.

Get what you’re saying but don’t expect much until JTW then we won’t be disappointed. Even if it’s announced this week they’re still in the transfer of ownership stage and I’m guessing that will still drag us past this window.

But I could be wrong and your wishes might come true

CM or RB - can’t make my mind up. If he gets a really good LW then you could argue Hamer, Arblaster, Souza, Peck, with Peck also covering O’Hare is already enough. I doubt he counts on Coulibaly. Would be deep down welcome a good fee for Souza? The club would, but a manager being a manager he’s still probably insist upon another body.

Perhaps he’d prefer to get a better RB in and send Seriki on a season loan? He’d have Shackleton, Gilchrist and the new boy then for RB.

I’d also think that Marsh would benefit from playing week in week out.

Yeah that's my logic with looking at a specialist left winger.. Hamer then is available to move into CM and gives us the option of playing 4-3-3 or 4-3-2-1 depending on if we think opposition may dominate midfield battle.

Not sure how Souza/Hamer/Arblaster will feel about being rotational. Can’t help but feel someone bidding for Souza solves this, we have Arblaster and Hamer and then a couple of players happy to be subs.

I feel Peck is too good to go on loan and can build up experience as part of the matchday squad as support for Arblaster or O’Hare.

I’m also not overly convinced Wilder knows what to do with Slimane either.

We need more depth upfront, we need a player who’s a natural on the left to give us balance rather than asking Hamer to play there and RB looks a bit dodgy atm. CB I’d assume if Anel leaves although really I’d like us to strengthen there anyway.

i think wilder is leaning towards 433 with moore as the focal point and 2 speedy wingers either side of him question then is how do you fit souza arblaster hamer and o'hare in unless souza is sold

Agree with that although a CM over a CB. We have potentially 6 for CB (as it stands) where some are sat on the bench on decent money..

True but if you’re bringing in a LW and move Hamer inside that gives you O’Hare, Hamer, Blaster, Souza, Peck, Slimane, Shackleton, Coulinaly (if he doesn’t leave) and the phantom Tom Davies all capable of playing in the 3 central spots.

I know we wouldn’t necessarily be chuffed to see some of those lads playing in this spots long term but I’d be bricking it if Trusty had to play CB for any extended period this summer and I’m not sold JLT is good enough on the ball to do what we’re asking him to do at the minute in a two. Currently and of course it’s only personal opinion but I’m only really comfortable with Souttar and Anel as ball playing CB’s in a two I’d have concerns over all the others whether that’s ability, fitness or inexperience. If we could bring in another top quality CB I’d bite your hand off especially given how attacking the rest of the squad is and how much we’re going to expose the defence this season they’re going to have to be able to handle business on their own.

I’m in the same boat as you. Not sure how it all fits together though the answer is often “it’s a 46 game season and you need a squad, not an XI”.

And then rotating Arblaster for Hamer in certain games. Love Arblaster but it is his first proper season and we need quality player rotations throughout the season. I also reckon in some matches we’ll set up more solidly and drop O’Hare for Hamer and then Arblaster back in.
