In which case we'll be up to 3 loans already, which is a bit confusing after the statements by blackie and the club not to repeat the same loan situation as we had last season.

Can't see Walker happening, not unless some serious bridges have been built in the past few months.

As I posted before I think Nos will be a loan, I would also guess Bartley will be coming back which just leaves you with a permanent deal.

Carl Dickinson. Left-back for Stoke when they were promoted, was on loan with the Dingles last season.

3 long-term loans is fine as we still then have room to bring in another 3 "emergency" loan players if required AND play them all. The problems arose last year because we started the season with 5 or 6 loans who were all first choices. When players then got injured, we were forced into the position of leaving first choice players out, while still having to pay their wages.

If we could field a defence of Simonsen, Walker, Morgan, Nosworthy, Naughton next year, I would be in dreamland and highly confident of automatic promotion.
