Egan and Henderson are the difference this season.

Shame we spent so much on Egan though![]()

Agree totally about Norwood. My memories of Iley are a bit hazy to say the least: would he have played a pass like the one to Billy which led to McGoldrick's chance early on?Let's not forget Norwood's contribution to this vastly improved aspect of our game .
His positional sense , reading of the game and availability to collect the ball from defenders are all of the highest order and help take the pressure off the CB ' s .
In this respect , although physically different , he reminds me a lot of the great Jim Iley .

Indeed. I think Stevens and Baldock have also picked up their game considerably from last year too.Egan and Henderson are the difference this season.
Totally agree, our defence looks a solid unit. Henderson rarely has many saves to make.
Also think McGoldrick cleverness has taken some of the pressure off Duffy who was our sole player with creativity.
Apart from a few over hit crosses they were good , but the thing i noticed no free kicks given away on the edge of the boxIndeed. I think Stevens and Baldock have also picked up their game considerably from last year too.

Thought they’d leave it to Egan, since he was meant to be playing marauding right centre back - ey Pinch? They usually leave that to Bash...
