a good result tonight and in patches we look like we're improving still. I can't remember a 3-0 home win that passed by as quietly and slowly as tonight though. I may be alone in thinking this but at times it felt like watching a reserve game. I hope we continue to get results and push for promotion but tonight is another reminder for me that under Blackwell the memorable and exciting games are going to be few and far between. In the form of an A-level exam - discuss...

Sheffield United fans started filing out after Morgan scored! There was still 10+ minutes left!

Tedious football! Grow up, seriously.

3-0 did flatter us a tad but the players deserved a lot more noise than they got last night.

It's not easy "growing up" in your 50's but I'll give it a go.

Yes, TEDIOUS. By the time the 4 minute board went up the game was (and had been for a good 15 minutes) well and truly over. The only interest remaining was how Yeates would look should he manage to get the ball.

I have never seen so many leaving before the final whistle in a 3-0 home win. Perhaps there was a reason for that.

Half of those leaving are looking to beat the rush home, the other half are just a set of typically miserable Sheffielders who despite coming from working class families, want their cake and eat it.

Its not enough to win apparently, we have to play like Real Madrid as well. To walk out of the game 10 mins early at 3-0 up for anything other than a serious personal reason, is shameful IMO. But then again, everyone is entitled to do what they want - free will and all that. Didnt reflect on the game though as far as I was concerned.

It was probably more likely that the Anti Blackwell brigade were so fed up that we won 3-0 and couldn't boo the team at the end that they left early to go and have their horlicks

It may be strange, but i think a lot of the atmosphere was lost because we got the rub of the green throughout the match. For example, the penalty save that wouldnt have gone our way on other days. Often an atmosphere is created when we're chasing the game and every reffing decision goes against us. the fact that we led from early in the game and most things went for us throughout the 90mins contributed to a lack of atmosphere.

However, the general lack of sound at the lane this year has encouraged me to go to even more away games just to sing a bit! It has been noticably more quiet this year IMO.

Good point and quite possibly true. Also goes hand in hand with the fact that our fans have to have something to moan about or theyre not happy.
