I find it pretty strange to see that some of you are dont fazed by our performence tonight, yes it was arsenal playing a bunch of talented kids, but come on.

That was embarrassing, no fight, quality, nothing. 4 years ago we held them to a 1-1 draw with a full strength side.

Something is really wrong at the club at the moment.

Everyone at Arsenal probably wonders why we even bothered to turn up, well they can go and enjoy their "glorious triumph" like they won the title, but that doesn't change the fact they have their heads stuck up their arses badly. I'm not giving them any credit, they get enough sucking up as it is, why should I give them more?

Because they tore us apart, in relative ease. They fully deserved to win tonight by 6 goals and it could have easily been more. They won fair and square, without any taunting or humiliation which some teams would have been tempted with.

They do not have their heads stuck up their arses as you say. Each time we have been to Arsenal we have always had some of their fans talking to us on the way back to the tube. And everytime they have been humble about their chances of winning the Premiership and talk about the strengths and weaknesses of their team. They talk about the game and never gloat about beating us, nevermind how easy it may have seemed to them. They have said we played well or that we could have possibly done better but they just seemed to click that day.

They beat us 6-0 tonight and not once did we get anybody taunting us or laughing about how badly we played. Compare that to losing 2-1 to Derby and we get loads of abuse on the way back to the car and lots of people laughing and trying to be intimidating.

That is the exact reason why we should Arsenal fans and their team the credit they deserve.

Spot on, you have to accept Arsenal are streets ahead of us, having said that we surely can manage better than that. Let's hope we learn from it.

That's all we can do......learn and do better.

I'm a very bad loser, but when you come up against someone who is better than you, sometimes you just have to hold your hands up and say "we aren't good enough"

And rightly so in my opinion. Sharpy whether rightly or wrongly believes there is problems, and I for one agree.

Yes, Arsenal were good, yes the youngsters played certainly look to have a big future ahead of them, but we played pretty much our first team and got a pasting. It was embarrasing to say the least. No fight or determination, no quality from us.

But I must say, well played Arsenal.

When you have the years of supporting on the clock that SF has, not to mention the small fortune spent over the years. When you have stuck by the team when it has contained such luminaries as Douggie Brown, Don Peattie, Paul Smith et al who frankly make the current team look like world cup winners. When you have continued to support the Blades as they fell from the old first division all the way down to the 4th division and stood on the kop amongst weeping grown men, then and ONLY then can you come on here and throw around accusation like that! Until you reach that point, shut it!!!!

I don't think any of that can be aimed at SF, he's been to more games and followed United further than most of the Members on this Forum put together.

He's never been and never will be a Prawn Sarnie fan.

Even with Arsenals Youth team a team of future World Beaters, you have to say a team as experianced as the one Blackwell put out should not have lost 6-0.

It will be interesting to see how they perform on Saturday after this.

We all want us to win all the time but things don't always go in life. Yes we were poor, but credit where credit is due, they were class. Speed was old enough to be their dads.

we lost 6-0 by a far better team, get on with it and onto the next game.

I didn't see the game because I didn't go.

Of course I'm passionate as well you know. I won't remind people how long I've followed United (it's making me feel old!).

Arsenal, by all accounts, were the better team though and didn't deserve the abuse they were getting from Jonny.

I was trying to explain humility but that's a difficult concept for many on United forums.

Unfortunately the two together mean a 6-0 thrashing at our expense. I was hoping we would have made it until half time at 0-0, but it wasn't to be.

One of their midfielders on loan wouldn't go amiss! (Although not the guy who kept taking the corners in first half - his aim was shite)!!!

No professional team should lose 6-0........but it does happen.

They did have 5 FULL internationals in the team though.

That's the thing though - it was like we'd just given up. Like they let a player run past and left it as if to say "oh well, too late now". That fight just wasn't there.

EVERYTIME I've seen us play against Arsenal since about 1998 (? When was the "game that never was" - think that was my first one), we've always given a good fight and been able to hold our heads up high whatever the result... but last night... there's no way we can hold our heads hight after that.

I've said it a million times McCabe is the best the Blades have had but that says nowt cause we've had sum reight shite.

You know the crack from years gone by just like me.....MIck Jones sold to pay leccy bill etc....them days yer knew what was cummin cause there was no cash at BDTBL.

McCabe is like the guy in the pub with loads a money....likes everybody to know it but never buys a round.

If he's not going to invest in the 1st team at BDTBL he can fuck off for me.

I mentioned to Foxy that'd it'd be good if we could get some of their players in on loan.

He said that they wouldn't be getting as many free kicks if they were in our squad so would they really be able to perform aswell as they can?

I have to agree and allthough I would welcome one of the players on loan - I don't think it'd be a big a hit as some might think.
