of the squad listed, just seven have had anything like proper league experience. And one of them is that croc Brewster!
what do you think the likelihood of us bringing in proven championship players will be , before Preston comes around?

Even without a takeover, there will be sufficient money to sign players who are out of contract or available at lower cost. Plus any loans.

We wouldn't be spending a lot in fees, but Championship teams don't spend much on fees anyway, even parachute payment teams with a better financial situation that United

id say we will 100% bring in a number of proven Championship players as well as some of the best talent in League 1 and a couple of decent Premiership young loans. You can take that to the bank.

It's a difficult balancing act at the moment. The club was understaffed in senior levels to begin with but they are trying to sell so I imagine there's very little buy in for making decisions. The new owners can't make decisions and I'd be surprised if (other than saying no to something long term focused) they would want to be too heavily involved anyway.

The club is in limbo and it's going to take a while for things to settle down. I am confident that new owners wouldn't be buying the club with the plan to take it into L1 so, even though we may well have a rocky start there's still January and hopefully we are in a position to challenge up the table next season
 

The only hope we have right now is if Wilder can rekindle his old self and get something out of a very modestly talented group. So no hope for me.

Davies has apparently agreed a new deal (hopefully just another year as I can see thr logic in re signing him this summer but after that..). Where is Tom Davies again... no doubt injured (still a good idea to sign him then lads?) and Anel is probably either busy getting his missus pregnant again (fair play of so) or is put and about trying to get fixed up with another club. Hopefully the latter.

We are extremely light ATM squad wise but we do till have quality players for the Championship and we have stripped out a lot of shit and players who were past it. Brave new world but provided players start coming in shortly, I'm mostly excited about it rather than afraid of the changes. Last seasons shit show was the nail in the coffin for that set of players and we needed to rip it up and start again. Now get rid of Grbic, Souza and Anel, and then get some quality in the front door and I'll say it been a decent summer re the rebuild of the club (subject to the takeover being completed to new owners of substance).

Not very optimistic about the team as it currently stands, I don't like how we seem to be getting worse each season in quality and depth.
It's pretty shocking that we are relying so heavily on youth players after being in the prem three out of the last five years!
Certainly don't agree with comments saying its not a strong league, its probably the most competitive league in the world.

I think we know what any realistic outcome will be, and I’m happy to stand aside for a year or so whilst we properly rebuild.
