Just a quick one while stood getting rained on in Cherry Street car park with what was a really excited 4 year old, now rapidly deciding its her 'worst time ever'...

I know plenty had issues in the last league game, not sure on the cup... Just a quick poll to see how many forum members effected by this shitshow.

It let me in.

Lad on front of me in queue though said his worked first day but got a red light today.

There was a few issues on the kop about 4 people had to come back out of the turnstiles while I was queing, mine worked Ok though although mine is a very old card, infact I have never had any problems at all come to think of it.

I didn't have any issues at the cup game. The random guy whose ticket was in with mine would have though

2 weeks in a row I've told someone in front of me to put their card near the unit, not try to 'scan' it in the slot and then they got straight in. All it needs is some basic fucking instructions next to the turnstiles given that they've changed the units. But like most things about the club at the moment there is a certain lack of competency going on.

Corporate season tickets haven’t even been issued yet. As if the football season was a surprise. Hmm sounds a bit like the team.

That accounts for a percentage... Which is why I had to spend the first 5 minutes explaining that I'm perfectly capable of operating a turnstile, had tried two different turnstiles and the correct parts of the readers.

Our issue, as apparently many others had, was that the card wasn't activated for this match.

Got in at half time, piss wet through.

There’s no option for “no issues”

In hindsight there should have been, but I was thinking more just collating those with issues.

Half time is unacceptable. Stands looked quite empty at 10 to 3 though. Do might explain a lot of late arrivals

Yes, I had an issue. I was in the queue too Foxy.
My membership card had not been activated with my ticket. I only bought the ticket from the ticket office this morning and asked the staff to load it onto my card. When I tapped the turnstile, I got the dreaded red light and then started queuing up with everyone else. This photo was taken 5 minutes before kick-off.
I ended up being issued a paper ticket, which did work.

Did not get in until 30 minutes after printed ticket would not scan at turnstile at quarter to three. Girl in ticket office said it was because it had got wet. Calmly explained that it was bone dry when I scanned it and that was what standing in the rain for fourth minutes does to it. Northernmost time this has happened and club clearly had no contingency in place to deal with it. Complete and utter shambles and will be ringing the club first thing Monday.

Fucking useless cunts, fans not getting in till half time is a disgrace, the wheels really are falling off at the moment

Same for me.. went to a second turnstile and then It worked.. it’s just random by the looks of it.. buggy as hell probably

A kid that goes with us found the same season card he used for the Brum game didn't work for this game. Luckily my niece didn't go so I allowed him to use hers. This was at the John Street Kop entrances

Bring back the mid 1980's at somehwere like the Shay. Chuck your £1.50 at the big fat turnstile operator and be let in....none of this modern day electronic bollocks!

They need to compensate anyone who was late in. Nothing else is acceptable. Why can't they have a simple check to see if you have paid?

Today I took the grandson to the Family Hub first tour. We asked a steward less then 10 yards from the entrance and he sent us the wrong way.

So much confidence in the staff who are there to get you safely in the ground!

You didn’t miss much !!!!

Seasons past I put my card into the slot and it beeped then but now it seems you have to flash it near the light things - like you do with a credit card reader.

They really should have told fans this?

Basic stuff really.

Loads like me were trying to 'put' it in so to speak and nothing was happening even you wriggled it round.....right enough innuendo. Basically it's poor from the club not to have a simple instruction how to do it. Getting access. Into the ground I mean. 😂 ;)

Season ticket on john street worked fine for the birmingham game. Got red light at first turnstile I tried today. Went to the next turnstile and it worked fine. No clue why - just seems to not be a reliable system.

Making me a bit anxious this thread. I had the same problem the Crystal Palace first home game. No fun and frustrating as hell queuing up at 3-30pm outside ticket office while match is on some nasty scenes as well. I’ve not been to a game yet as I’m abroad.

3 of us moved from Kop to SS so all brand new cards, not one issue as yet 🤞

Is it a half season ticket?

If so, ask for the 1st half.

👍

I think the memo telling fans to just wriggle it around but don't put it in got sent to Brewster by mistake and he shared it round the dressing room.

I’m sort of glad the ticketing site is so shite that it can’t load tickets onto cards. I had 2 paper ones yesterday with good old barcodes.

Mine has worked OK but my mates' ST wouldn't work so had to have a new one one. It wouldn't work in one turnstile yesterday but did in the 2nd he tried.

I bought an e-ticket yesterday for the first time and got a red light on the turnstyles 13 to 17 that it allotted me to use. I pulled the steward over and he said try turnstiles 12 to 10 and it didn’t work there either, he said to me your about the 20th person the QR code hasn’t worked for today and to go to the box office to pick up a physical ticket, I looked how long the Q was, as it was around the carpark and thought no way I was standing in that as it was lagging it down and just 20 mins to kick off..
Anyway I thought I will go back and try it again to no avail so I thought I would pinch out zoom the QR code to fill the phone screen and slide the phone as far back as I could, it worked first attempt!!!.
if anyone else has the same issues next time pinch zoom the QR code so it takes all the screen up, make sure your at your allotted turnstiles and it should work ok and without you having to go to the box office and face an hour to Q to get a paper ticket.
By the way it doesn’t tell you any of this on the e-ticket and it should do, a simple sentence with zoom in on the QR code is all it needs….
