Can’t help but feel optimistic and re-energised watching that. Just hope he gets the backing in the transfer window.

Yeah, hopefully he gets what he needs in the transfer window and a decent pre-season fixture list.

I think being allowed to bring some players in. Obviously a LCB, two midfielders and a striker or two.
So free transfers and loans would be considered fine then so long as we released a few?

It's a decent interview but no meat on the bone in terms of questions we all want to hear info on such as how's the transfer plans going, does he know his budget in view of the takeover, how's that going (I know that's a question for the Prince) is the training ground work happening beyond just the pitch as important as the pitch is.

That's not me trying to be being critical at all of the interview; it's a club interview not a radio Sheffield one which would ask questions such as above and no doubt wouldn't get answers anyway as it's straight bat stuff especially with us being in the off season. Hecky comes across well, as ever.

Needs to be a mix doesn't it. Invest in one or two loans, couple of good free transfers and hopefully see us target one or two younger lads from L1/L2 that can grow with us.

Don't think anyone with their head screwed on is expecting any serious fees to be paid in transfers but resource doesn't necessarily have to be just fees. More than anything I want to see us being a bit more innovative in our recruitment, following a clear plan i.e. a mix of younger lads plus some experience, all with something to prove and provide a bit more athleticism throughout the spine of the team.

Interested to know who the other “boys“ are that he still wants to tie down.
can only assume he looking to improve and extend contracts for the likes of Graham, Osula, Jebbison and Ndiaye

Where we going pre-season ? Its been arranged but no yet announced !

This.

I think a lot of our fans aren't living anywhere near realism when it comes to our likely transfer dealings.

He seems to have carried out the interview in his vest. A touch of Steptoe, or is this the latest in designer-wear?
Does this mean that the club's sponsors will change to next season?

I did think what is that top he's wearing!? I'm not really in touch with modern fashion though to be fair! I remember when skin tight jeans came out for men I thought there's no way I'm ever wearing a pair of them! Still haven't in fairness!
