You can't have folk making 'non-essential' journeys. So no away fans gives room for more home fans.
Having just home fans in will benefit the team with the support they will receive. To benefit the club as a whole, how about we put ticket prices up to £60 per ticket? That would ensure that the reduced capacity doesn't cost our club financially. All those fans of ours with millions of loyalty points that travel home and away will be able to use the money they've saved by not attending the Etihad/Emirates/Stamford bridge etc, to buy a ticket for Bramall lane.

There isn't one. Pubs are open, they're indoors where the thing spreads, we either see a huge jump by the end of the season, or we don't, and the concept of behind closed doors is done

Maybe trial it on somewhere that doesn't matter if a few peg it like Leeds or WH. If it works, great, if it doesnt, no great loss

If clubs can manage the stadiums to get say 25-30% capacity for hopefully the first half of next season, we could devise a system where st holders get to 'take it in turns' and get to go to one in 3 or 4 matches.

I look forward to seeing the reaction of the highest 25% points folk to the idea of freeing up some games to allow others to get to some games. I suggested earlier in the season that reflective of the fact that it’s an impossibility for some to now get an away ticket in the away end given the big increase in demand this year, we might consider a tiny % of away tickets being put aside for some sort of ballot for fans with a certain lower total. Cue outrage at the idea that some fans “would be punished”.

I’d like to think that there would be some common sense to enable attendance to be rotated so that all STHs attend a similar % of games, rather than a top % taking all of the games. But my experience suggesting even the mildest of tweaks to the loyalty points system would suggest it would be resisted.

With no away fans it should be possible to go for 25 or 33% capacity. They would need to tape off seats and just space fans out. Season ticket holders only on a rota, so would be able to go to 1 in 2 or 3 games. Not ideal but better than nothing and they should be able to gradually increase over the season

Now that we’re safe officially we can start to look forward.

was just thinking when would be feasible to start the new season? and do we think we might see some fans being allowed back into stadiums.

im thinking the new season will start mid Sept, with some fans back in the grounds. Maybe 20% capacity.

Only if fans wear summat like this.
