2007/08 Kit Vote

Was talking about the kit vote from this season. We voted for both the Home and Away Kits in our Warnock PL season, for what ended up being Championship kits worn by Beattie, Sharp & Naysmith etc.

Anyway, here are the 3 away kits that were up for vote, but does anybody have images of the home kits in the vote? Seem to remember one was like a burgundy colour??

One of my faves too that one. I lent it my brother for one of the play off finals and he got a cigarette burn in it

Someone will have those prototypes somewhere...

I didn't know we had a burgundy/redcurrant option but I've thought about this before.

A club's colours should be unique and while there are many with red and white stripes, it's not impossible. Especially for any club being brave and doing it first.

I like the redcurrant Berliner Dynamo use and expect it would look great in a classic Blades kit of proper stripes, black shorts, white socks with black/redcurrant tops.

I'm pretty sure the four options were:
1) red and white stripes (the version we ended up with)
2) same as above but with dark red / maroon
3) red and white half and half (like Feyenoord)
4) same as number 3 but with the dark red / maroon again

No 2 is quite similar to the Macron third shirt in the relegation season but never ended up wearing.

I have the long sleeve style one. Hands down the most comfortable shirt I've ever worn. Silky smooth. Although it's been washed so many times the patches and numbers have disintegrated. Ah well. Still wear it.

A mate of mine back in the day actually got the darker red shirt (option 3) and was showing it off waaaay before release. We all used to tease him saying it was fake

Shame we didn't go for the gray away kit.

The original luminous green kit from the Basset days was great but for some reason we just flogged that dead horse a bit didn't we?

As soon as you show a luminous away shirt to our fans, they go weak at the knees.

The best one since the 89 one was the 2019 promotion shirt. None of the others have come close

Yes, but i don't think it's stood the test of time like the 89 one.

At the time, i agree, it was very nice. I remember it came out the day we were flying to Greece for a 2 weeks holiday. We had to go down first thing to get the shirts before racing back to go to the airport. Happy days.

I think that and the Blue Laver shirt are the only ones i've ever got on release day
