looking back on highlights of the foul on coutts, it's getting me mad.

absolutely NO DOUBT that paul hurst wanted our players injured so it doesn't take us up with him being a pig.

thankfully coutts was still walking after that challenge, but the needlessness of the tackle and with the ball so far away from goal, it is easy to tell that it was from paul hurst's instructions to injure our midfield players (fleck, duffy and coutts)

It's one of the reasons I'm pissed off we didn't hit them for at least 4 - it's the least we could've done. It leaves a sour taste that they were as dirty as they were and escaped without a battering.

in the 2nd half i wasnt even getting excited about us scoring another goal, i am so deflated about the injuries. all 3 of them play such an important role in our team, and i was just thinking about the games ahead. would rather us have drew 2-2 or even lost than have all 3 players injured

Appalling cowardly challenge, reminded me of that twat Ainsworth ending Dane's career.

You would rather we had lost?

the thing is, those 3 players have been absolutely vital in our unbeaten run, and will be crucial in the games to come. if we have lost those 3, then who knows what could happen. the creativity of duffy gone, the passion of freeman providing us with fantastic attacking support, and coutts with the fantastic passing. without those 3 yesterday, it seemed like we ran out of ideas. and it worries me about the games ahead if they are missing. i'd rather us have the 3 players fit and well, than us be without them for weeks or months.

Bad challenge and got what it deserved but pre-meditated by the manager to stop us getting promoted - ridiculous.

It was a despicable challenge and the warning signs were there before hand to be honest with that tosser throwing his weight about. Billy was also hobbling for 10-15 minutes after someone crunched him in the first half.

I don't believe any manager would send his players out to seriously injure opposing players though. Telling players to be tough in the tackle, yes absolutely, that should always be the case but I think here we just have one player who is out of control. The Shrews already had one of the worst disciplinary records before Hurst came along and it's easy to see why with the likes of old Hugo in the team.

Furthermore would Hurst deliberately risk losing his own players for 3 games, virtually ensuring they stay in a relagation scrap, just to shaft us? Not sure I buy it to be honest.

No doubt their manager pre match speech will have been something like

They have more ability than us and will outplay us if we give them time and space.
So let's get stuck in and make them know they are in a battle.

Players are going to be out for a week or two at a time, it happens over the season. Let's just hope we don't suffer any long term injuries.

We should turn over Bury any which way.

Hurst seemed to come over as a decent bloke in his pre-match interview.
I suspect the vast majority of Wednesday supporters are decent folk supporting their football team much the way that we do, then again, I'm getting old now.

Baffling how furious Shrewsbury fans and players were with that second sending off, as Wilder said Coutts lucky to have his leg in one piece, disgusting challenge which should warrant more than a 3 match ban imo
