1. When was the last time we signed a player and the vast majority of fans thought it was a good signing and the player went on to become very successful in his time with the Blades? I would argue Brown, Bent, McCall, Kenny, Morgan, Kilgallon, Hulse, Stead, Henderson, Allison, Naysmith, Beattie were all greeted with derision or atleast scepticism by the majority. Regarding Beattie I think a lot of fans questioned the fee/wages and the fact he'd only scored 2 goals in the previous season. I would say all of those players mentioned went on to be successful to very successful with SUFC. Compare that to players like Sharp, Evans, Harper, Howard and blasting back a bit further Barry Hayles, I think these players generally excited the crowd upon signing and all to a degree (although i think this is unfair on Evans & Harper) flattered to decieve. I would say the last player to excite the crowd upon signing and who went on to be successful was Peschisolidio, and even with that I think his loan spell had a lot to do with it. Not sure what my point is on this really but it had me thinking that on the whole if we sign a player and we think he's crap, he turns out to be good, and visa versa.

2. When was the last time we missed a penalty away from home? I think it was D'Jaffo away at Burnley in 2000 (lost 2-0 i think). A decade of 100% away pens would be pretty impressive. Shurely I'm mishing one?*edit* i am ignoring penalty shoot outs.
