If we'd have had Done and Davies all season we would have certainly finished top 2 if not won it, what it's proved once again tonight is that you can score your way out of this league because defensively we were dire to say the least. Having said that, credit must go to Doncaster because they made that a good spectacle for all involved but ultimately another great 3 points for the Blades, keep it up lads.

this is the key to this seasons play offs , we are starting to score goals
just need to make sure we dont let in the odd one to many , so long as we get 1 more , not bothered
As others have elluded to, we need to guarentee playoffs first off, then we need to keep our key players fresh for the playoffs, people like Tel Kennedy at the back, Basham in the middle and all our strikeforce, we can obviously only do this if it is possible to do so.

I think mcnulty is just as good as a goalscorer, well a finisher anyway but done just makes things happen! Clough must absolutely love him. Him and Davies are the exact mix of what we need

I like McNulty, in the post above i mention the word strikeforce and he's in it along with Higdon who could still have a part to play yet.

I agree with you about McNults, he's got goals in him, and Higgo can provide the half time oranges for sure.......
I was waiting for the first one to come along:D I'm talking about the run in to give players like Done and Davies a rest.

Im always available if needed if some players are tired, then again I don't do Wednesdays :o)

How can we have been "dire" defensively when they only managed to score from two worldies?

Agree with all of that. Davies coming in has enabled Done to have a small break after Matt was having to go it alone.

He was in great form for Derby, just before his head injury and it seems that both he and Nigel seem to have a great understanding of each other as SD is in the best form he's been in since leaving the Rams.

I would love to see McN get a bit of a run out, as we get closer to the playoffs, just to keep Davies fresh and injury free too.

All of Done, Davies, McN and Higdon may be needed in the closing stages. I hope they are all firing as the season ends.

It's all coming together at the right time:-) Confidence, understanding and a massive team-spirit.

Did you not see any of the other chances they created? I'm not just saying it was the defence either because they were waltzing through our midfield at will. Maybe we have different views on how to defend, yes it was poor finishing from them but they still managed to create the chances, even Clough has come out and said we were lucky to come away with all the points.

Doesn't matter how you defend as long as you put your body on the line when it matters and we did. We struggled without Basham in midfield but our main problem was their pace which we aren't going to come up against too often.

Don't know how we pulled it off. I'm putting it down to the brilliance of Done and Davies. Shame in his post match interview NC said said he can't fit them both in the same side??? Did I mishear him or did they both play brilliant in the same team?

After Harris came off not one of the defenders was in the same position as they played against Barnsley and that's not going to help matters. I do agree about the pace, they were like lightning at times but sometimes you do have to deal with it and i personally didn't think we dealt with it that well, especially from Midfield and down the flanks.

He didn't say that he can't, more that he struggled to as it didnt quite work with Done on the left. It was better once he was in the middle.

It is a conundrum. Albeit a good one. Murphy, Done, Davies, Flynn, if they are all fit, needs Basham in the center, which in turn needs TK fit for us to be at our best. Putting those 4 attacking players in means no Holt, or no Coutts? Holt is scoring and Coutts seems to play his best with Bash.
