The window is officially open and we "officially" unveil Ertl, Bogdanovic and Britton.

Will there be anymore though? Anyone who has com in under the radar, that we have had to keep quiet?

We are off to Malta 12 days later and Blackwell has said time and again he wants the majority of the squad together and signings completed by then.

So with at least 1 keeper & 3 defenders required has he already done a couple of hush-hush deals or is in line for a busy 12 days?

Oh and I've heard from a very good source that Greg Halford is a very strong possibility........

If he is on a free than yes maybe it will happen but if there is a fee involved then it will be a no. I have it on good authority that now Billy is staying put we are up shit street and have no transfer kity and must sell before we buy. Free's only but again not much to play with in terms of wages. Prepare for loan players boys sorry to say.

For chuffs sake. If it's that important that we sell Sharp to raise funds, just tell him that he will be training with the kids from 1st July. No prospect of the first team. No chance of a loan deal. Either sign for Burnley/Doncaster/Leeds or you'll be wet-nursing the chabbies for a full year. I'm sure he would soon get the message and leave.

Alternatively, Quinn has still not signed a new contract and Swansea are supposed to be willing to pay a good fee for him. Or preferably cut our losses on Evans. Not only could we get back some of the fee we paid for him, we could avoid chucking any more money down the immobile blackhole.

That wont make Billy leave Sothall. He's got one year left on his contract. If we are to believe the cynics who say Billy is gambling on Blackwell leaving before him (which is a pretty sound theory), then he will just sit it out if he's determined to stay at the lane.

Billy doesnt want to go and United cant make him. He has a contract with them, just as the club has a contract with him. If our transfer budget was solely reliant on Billy being sold, then its yet another bollock dropped by the club heirarchy who probably shouldn't be so presumptuous. I can think of a couple of players we could sell instead anyway.

Technically correct Toronto but I know there are several moves completed, (not with us) that cannot be officially announced until 1st July.

Loan players are not necessarily a cheap option. Money is often involved.

I hope your source is a good one ,Halford would be a great addition!

This might sound disloyal, but why would Halford be coming back here on another season loan? It's like an admission that his career is going nowhere yet again.

He needs to settle the feck down at a club and build a career properly. If that's us and he signs permanently, then fine. But his whole playing career seems to be spent in limbo.

He should, but he can't. He's one of those really good in the Championship but not able to make the step up players. Trouble is, he's developed a taste for the Prem wages and unless he drops his demands/runs out of bottom end Prem clubs who'll take a punt, it's loan time.

I'd welcome him back in a shot, but can't really see it.
