Missed that unfortunately and given I live in London it would have been an easy one!... yeah a book I've been thinking about for a while (in fact about 15 years) when I really started getting a few blades shirts together,... my best one is probably a match worn 77-78 home No.10. Mega!

genuinely if we could make it work I'd love to do something like that.

I have the second one, official match issue I believe and signed by Bassett and the team he inherited. Couldn't ever see me parting with it though

You need to get in touch with my brother in law. He did a dissertation on football shirts at Uni. He's a graphical designer. He would probably have some contacts etc. For getting it published.

Oh that's interesting! cheers matt.

I have the 87-90 away shirt and shorts but, as is the case for SithBlade, the shirt isn't in mint condition after too many washing machine cycles. The felt Blades badge and Umbro badge wore away on the shirt.

I also have the home shorts that SithBlade showcased, along with the shirt. Again, washing has worn away the Umbro felt.

Ahhhhhhhhhhb yeah that's the winner. Hands down the best away shirt we ever had

I'm glad this thread has turned into people showing their old shirts. Keep an coming!

Love the thread about old kits, in fact I've just bought this season's home cos it is near identical to the 75/6 home - kind of my first season. But hang on, it's that picture of players that has caught my eye. What's the game and who the heck are they ....I'm assuming it's some kind of testimonial or charity game from the late 70's. I can pick a couple of local managers at the time Allan Clarke and Billy Bremner, Frank Worthington, Roy Macfarland??, Archie Gemmill, Geoff Hurst??, Minder and Brian Tyldesley off Coronation Street. WTF is that all about!!
You've missed the most famous player of all in that photo.

I've kept quite a few shirts, Vintage, although a couple seem to have been mislaid along the way.

To make sure that no others go astray, I keep them all together now folded up in this beauty from c.1979.

Got all them I think....main few I need are the two aformentioned yellow ones mid - to late 80s, the one Vintage Shirt has two of (greedy so and so) (broad red stripe Hobot) and any others late 70's (admiral etc) although not many produced i know

Would pay a very good price for any of above or negotiate a swap.......come on all those mind numbing reports over the years I have done must be worth someone coming to a deal - direct message me if anyone can help!!!!

OOOOH giz a look. I envy you. For that is my grail.
I'll see if I can get a few pictures on, I also have the home shirt match worn from the same era although that's been claimed by my daughter, she wore it to the FA Cup semi final at Wembley against Hull.

That's some fine shirts you got! It's been well interesting to hear you fellow blades talk about the rare ones you got. Keep an coming if you have any other pics I'd love to see them. I'll post a few of mine tomorrow of the rarer more interesting ones.

I must admit I'd completely forgotten about that 88 away shirt, to the point where in my recollections of games from that season we are wearing the lime green effort.

Another one I want badly is this one. The round neck version is readily available but i've not seen the floppy collar ones on sale anywhere.

Does anybody have any ideas?

My favourite of them all, I had a clear out last year, just kept my old Wards red and white striped one, even though it's too small.

Pardon my Parsnips but, FUCKKKKKKKKKIIIIINNNNGGGGG HELLLLLLLLL. I will sell you a 3 bedroom terraced house with views of the ground.
Not bad are they, both came via a good friend who was our physio at the time. The away was a raffle prize won by another friend who is from the dark side so swapped it for a bottle of something or other I won. The home was provided to us for a football game, one of my brother's has the number 9, my other brother has number 3 and another mate has 10.
