I had white skinners hoopy socks platforms (later white canvas basketball boots) and a star jumper from Harrington’s. Woolly scarf round me neck silk scarf on my wrist and belt loop. I thought I were the dogs.

yep - Levi denim jacket - still got it in the wardrobe because it's one of the early ones called a big E - the red tab on the front pocket was spelt with a capital E

If you've got one it's worth a few quid.

Bert got his wool one nicked at Huddersfield, Boxing Day 1969.

He's wished plague and pestilence on them ever since.
Leeds fan nicked mine on the kop night match 1971 ,he had for about 30 seconds , 'uncle' Tony went after him
smacked into next week and retrieved it ,while a pack of younger Blades finished him off.

Wasn't the Levi or Wrangler thing a bit like the Celtic/Rangers - mods/rockers - you were one or the other but never mixed?

Greebo's wouldn't care wot they wore, never washed the fuckers ........

I wore my bush jacket with pride. Painted on the back in big letters i wrots "Don't say Brown say Harris" which was a take on the tv ad don't say brown say Hovis. For the younger ones, Alan Brown was the Wendy manager and John Harris was the Blades manager. The bush jacket looked great with my red and white butchers trousers!

Ignore the colours, did any of you get suited up like this?

Can't remember the year but; French cut jeans, cheesecloth shirt (yeah, cheesecloth - watcher gonna make of it, eh, eh? :D ;) ) denim shirt with jacket on a cold day and stacked heels.

Scarf through the shoulder epaulettes on match-day, even when walking to the bus down Wilcox Road to the bus stop on Halifax Road on the Foxhill Estate.

Never, ever, got challenged.

Mind you, I was strong and fit in those days and looked well over my normal 6'2" in those stacks :)

Haha.. Standard dress wasn't it for us young teenagers in the 70's on the Kop..Leather Bomber or Denim Levi jacket,Scarf in a knot, and silk scarf around the wrist.

What about loon pants? Like ballet tights at the top, with room for a family of asylum seekers to live in both legs.

Clown boots - knocked myself out running through a doorway forgetting my added inches!

All that and Wards bitter, TC and Woody. It was the best of times ...

Takes me back. Silk scarves round neck. Wool scarf round wrist or through loop in jeans. Everyone wore colours then.

Oh the shame, anyone wearing skinners would have the piss taken out of them mercilessly they were a Leeds/west Yorkshire fashion item. In Sheffield it was straight cut Levi's jeans or stay press to just above Ox blood Martens, Ben Sherman shirt and silk scarf lol. Having said that one of our group was a shaven headed Hells Angel who only tagged on to us at match days, think he just enjoyed getting the boot in.

Bay City Rollers 🤣🤣🤣

If someone gave your silk scarf a good pull round your neck it nearly strangled you. Used to tie it round the wrist, lot safer.
Levi jacket, stay press trouser and a straggle cut. The old fella got the scissors out when he saw it, good job mam fought him off. Mind you he was a Wednesdayite.😮
