International friendly at Goteborg

Sweden 1 (Eriksson) England 2 (Ball, Connolly)

Mick Jones' 2nd cap, played once more for England in January 1970 when he was a Leeds player, 0-0 draw at home to Holland.

Jones the only player in the team not to be in the World Cup winning squad the following year.

Bit surprising, given he scored 21 goals in 65-6 as United finished 9th in Division 1, but I don't think he was even in the preliminary 40.
The strikers in the squad had scored the following that season:

Hunt 29
Hurst 23
Greaves 15
Eastham 6(!)
