I live in bradford, work in leeds, my mates are leeds fans and my work collegues are leeds fans. I pass bellend road on the way to work every day, and am surrounded by them in every aspect of my life.

Therefore, i do not want to attend the match next week, as i have genuine fear that it could be a historical defeat where we are beaten more than comfortably. Furthermore, that may well be the date of my last post, as i will turn my back on this club if they provide me with months of humiliation. I honestly would accept a 1-0 defeat at this moment, as i fear it may be many many more.

Oh dear blades.

p.s. for the record, i hope micky stays, as im sure the consensus is split at this moment.

I've lived in Weeds since 1969 - I'll be there for that game and the game after and the game after...

I used to also pass Bellend Road on my way to work and now I work in an office block called City View.. Bradford City!

How the Club could let this happen is way above me. It's certainly made me revise my plans on whether to bring the kids or not.... Or Not is the operative word tbh

Club hasn't decided on whether top tier will be given or not. Restrictions are in place to prevent Weeds supporters getting tickets in our end but it is impossible to stop everyone. If someone's bought tickets for United games before the club have no proof they are Weeds fans, and so yes there may be a few who sneak in but it will only be a few.

I doubt there will be many Weeds Scum in our parts of the ground. But I'm sure the few that do try it will keep very quiet - if they don't, I'm sure they will get the "welcome" they deserve. Not that I'm condoning violence of course....

Leeds Game and Atmosphere...

I get the feeling that this will be as good an atmosphere as it was back in 2003. The Worthington Cup Game v Leeds back then was one of the best I have experienced as a Blade.

Sure we've had nice loud and passionate atmospheres in big games since, but for the out an out 'hairs on the back of the neck' buzz Leeds 2003 was the best.

Why was it so good?
We were the underdog, expected to be put to the wall by this Leeds team. They were top dog in Yorkshire. But with the extra buzz of a night match, we turned the game around in front of a decent crowd. Leeds brought a lot of fans and Blocks G & H were the place to be and there was a real edge on and off the pitch.

Why do I think it will be good this time?
We had a hint of it v Millwall 2nd half. Its always better when the rivalry is intense. Leeds is just a massive game, away at their place Blades fans were loud and proud.
Promotion season we put them back in their place. This season is their first chance to really take back their crown. But we could spoil their party.

We may not sell out like in past years but the atmosphere is always so electric and intense.

The game is always much more than just a Yorkshire Derby, there is always something extra to the game or as a result of the game.

I've such vivid memories of Leeds games Strachan, Vinnie Jones, Mel Rees, Brian Gayle, Deano, Leeds title winner at the lane, Jags, Nuddy, Seat chucking tossers, Blades Promotion Season, Kewell in Jag's pocket (fa cup 03), Blackwell going to Leeds...

This means a lot...
